WEIRD Stuttering

Hello guys.

I've been looking for tweaks on how to fix these stutters,

some worked like enboost/memory patch.

Im playing with medium textures,

I overclocked my CPU and memory using MSI afterburner, performance increased a lot.

Recently i installed dxtory and capped my FPS to 30 was hoping it would improve peformance and it did.

I also installed this http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/2581/?

which also acts as an fps limiter with render ahead limit which is default set to 4.

I also went to Nvidia Control Panel turned off Vsync but i left skyrim's built-in Vsync ON.

And went to Max Pre-Rendered Frames and set it to 4.

Before i did these tweaks my max FPS while viewing the world map was around 8-12.

Now its smoother and feels like its 60 fps.

Overall my FPS increased a lot.

But stuttering is now worse

Before the tweaks i was able to play the game with almost non noticeable stutter,

Now my FPS did increase but its almost unplayable due to stuttering.

is there a way i can fix this, what is causing it?

EDIT: I noticed setting RenderAheadLimit=4 to 0 Reduced stuttering,

And setting Max Pre-Rendered frames from 4 to 1 completely removed it,

But my game doesn't feel as smooth like when they were all set to 4.

What can i do?

Render ahead is at 4? Holy crap. Try 2. I use a DX9 DLL I found on a forum to limit FPS and renderahead limit. Limit to 60 and readahead at 0.

I removed the FPS cap and now im gonna try setting render-aheadlimit to 2

should i leave max pre-rendered frames in nvidia at 1?

Disable readahed in nVidia's settings, the Skyrim mod will do that by itself. nVidia's trying to change what the mod has it set to, and that's what causes the stutter.

I cant disable max-pre-rendered frames in nvidia the max is 1.

should i set it to application controlled and just set the antilag.cfg render aheadlimit to 2?

Just need to be clear will stuttering be less if render aheadlimit is set to 2 or 0?

figured out those settings didnt improve my FPS, overclocking did.

I really just dont like the stutters they're annoying asf im fine playing average 20 - 30 fps.

EDIT: Oh and i set FPSlimit=60 in antilag.cfg to 30, is this recommended for less stuttering?

it made my game feel smoother but is there anyway it couldve caused more stuttering?

I know i could just try it out but still i'm confused. : /

So i did what you said disable the max-prerendered thing in NVIDIA cause it was conflicting with the mod.

It worked, its not stuttering so much anymore.. and frame rate improved.

Before i would notice stutter at low textures and disabled shadows.

Now i can run it at medium textures and low shadows with just minimum stutter.

thanks again

Make sure the values in your nVidia settings and in antilag.cfg are the same.
