CaarosKingOfChaos
I just wanted to ask how safe it is to install mods at the moment. With patches, DLC, and official modding tools still on the way, I don't exactly want to accidentally bugger up a save file just by installing a mod that gives you new things for your settlement or changes certain values. This is my first time playing a Bethesda game as it is still actively being patched so I don't quite know the whole situation with mods and patches. If anyone could give me advice on this that would be nice.
Boombro
Back your fallout 4 folder, at least the bsa files (they are like 21 gb.)Hard to know since it up to the changes them patch does, but mods that effect price, weight, textures, meshes and small edits are safe. Boombro
Other than Settlement Supplies Expanded, the others should be safe. Since patches may mess up stuff SSE adds.

SharraShimada
You always risk to bug, when bethesda changes something with a patch, and the mod-author won´t fix errors. That´s life. Mod, or do not mod, its always your risk. Of course, you can wait, till all DLC are released, and bethesda abandonds the game. Then there will be no problem with mods an patches anymore.
