Auto-resolve Settlement Attacks

Wouldn't it be great to not get interrupted by settlement attack notifications, or miss them altogether?

 

Picture this:

 

When one of your settlements gets attacked, instead of a wimpy push notification, a dialogue box pops up telling you a settlement is "under siege". You get two options: acknowledge or auto-resolve.

 

If you acknowledge, you can travel there within the regular time frame to help defend. If you choose to auto-resolve it, the game will do an internal dice roll of the attacker's strength vs the settlement's defense to decide the outcome. If you acknowledge but fail to respond within the appropriate time frame, the battle will auto resolve with the settlers getting a debuff due to morale penalties caused by your absence. If the settlement wins, you get extra armor, weapons, caps, etc stored in the workshop. Ideally, the amount of loot you would get would be less than if you went and fought yourself to encourage you to do so. If the settlement loses, things get wrecked and you have a chance to lose some junk items stored in the workshop. The settlers will then repair the damage over time using materials they scavenge, or you can go repair it yourself instantly.

 

Now I know almost nothing about mod making. I have no idea if something like this is even possible with out the GECKtion Kit. I'm throwing this up here to see if I get any feedback, or if anyone wants to educate me on how this could work. Or heck, if you have the skills, take the idea and run with it.
