xxomegafactorxx
My specs are as follows: Windows 10 Pro 64-bitIntel Core i7 4790K @ 4.00GHz 32.0GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti (MSI)However, after doing a clean install to windows 10 ultimate, I've noticed that any ENB disables certain effects like DOF. I've checked the ini files to make sure everything is set the correct way, and I've also tried installing the Direct X run-time installed. My graphic's card is updated and using the latest drivers. I've literally searched for hours on end, and I've discovered nothing. If anyone is having the same problem as me and knows how to fix it, or if you have any suggestions, please make sure to comment. Any help I can get will be highly appreciated. Note: My ENB for fallout New Vegas seems to be working fine. Emmeff
I have almost the exact same spec as you, and I have the same issue. I'm using Realvision ENB. Hope someone can post a fix. Edited December 10, 2015 by Emmeff
K1ng5meagol
Same sort of issues here too only as soon as i go to load a save game or start a new one it CTD's. Does not happen with nvidia drivers 355.60 and below though - all works fine with those. My specs basically the same as yours xxomegafactorxx with these differences . . . Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 OC RealVision ENB version 279b ( based on ENB series v.0279) I do notice a new ENB series is now out but realvision latest still based on v.0279b. dont know if updating the series files might help or not as i've nottried that yet @ http://enbdev.com/mod_tesskyrim_v0290.htm Might pay to update and test to see if that works. I have tested my exact configuration of the game with same mods installed on another rig with very similar specs only Windows 7 64bit. I used both drivers 355.60 and the latest 361.43 and the game works flawlessly - so must have something to so with Win 10 and i suspect new DirectX it's bundled with. K1ng5meagol
Well i updated to the latest ENB Series (.0290) and tested with the old 355.60 drivers - worked fine as expected.Updated to latest 361.43 nvidia drivers and got the same error . . . the procedure entry point createdxgifactory2 could not be located d3d11.dllso next updated directx drivers from the recommended MS june 2010 distribution (as some other suggested on a thread i found after posting my original here) - still same error !! :mad:then another gamer had suggested renaming or deleting the dxgi.dll file used by SweetFX - this worked, no more error but lost DOF so back to square one :pinch: Finally rolled back to 355.60 drivers and now all working fine - Guess i'll just plug on with those drivers for now. K1ng5meagol
Ok so got it solved, Just did this in the end with following combo . . . Updated nvidia drivers to v361.43 Then copied d3d11.dll and dxgi.dll files from C:\windows\system32 folder on my c: drive and pasted them into my main skyrim folder (for me was D:\GAMES\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim) Tested and now works with DOF !!! then updated to enbseries v0.290 (making sure not to overwrite my customised .ini files for my ENB) - Wham-mo !!! still no crashes, no errors, DOF and all ENB effects as far as i can tell plus latest drivers to Run with ARK and Fallout 4 !!! Might work for you guys too - Merry Xmas
Eth100tx
Similar speced system: Win 10 clean install, 980Ti, ... I followed step 1 & 2 in the previous post but no luck. Turns out you also need the direct X runtime... (mentioned further up in the thread) to install Direct X - I followed http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3089504-fix-for-skyrim-crashing-instantly-with-enb-on-windows-10/ which had instruction on where to get it in the opening post... https://www.microsof...ls.aspx?id=8109 And if the link is removed, you can find the right page (Microsoft's official website) by googling "DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010)", at the time of writing this. After following the link it gives a download for directx_Jun2010_redist.exe, which asks you for a location to unpack the files. Give it a temporary location, then find the files that were unpacked and run the DXSETUP.exe. This is what actually installs the DirectX 9 components that ENB neets to start without crashing.
