loves2smooch
I have never used custom races before. The one I am trying now is Epic Elves race mod. My problem is that I don't know how to get the jiggle physics to work on the custom race. I've tried looking for a solution and read something about replacing a skeleton.nif file to get it to work, but if this is the solution I have no idea which file I am supposed to take and replace another with. Demonikone
Ok so basically as far as i know, you need to go into the \data\characters\ folder to your player assests, copy the skeleton files and place them in the epic elves folder, overight the origial skeleton, (make backups first :P) replaceing the BODY nifs may cause texture issues but that can be worked around by using the same technique for the textures... or at least thats how i put my hdt body onto sofia so i would imagine it would be the same
loves2smooch
Forgive any stupid things I may say. So I went to try what you suggested, but it seems the race mod doesn't have any skeleton files in the meshes folders. It does have the different body files that are also in the textures folders, is it possible those are the skeleton files for it (The ones in meshes folder, not textures)? If so would I just delete them and place the character assets skeleton files there? These are the body files in Data/meshes/CustomRace: Body folder:femalebody_0.niffemalebody_1.niffemalefeet_0.niffemalefeet_1.niffemalehands_0.niffemalehands_1.nif
IsharaMeradin
HDT comprises of the following: HDT Physics Extension -- a SKSE plugin and an XML file.A skeleton such as XPMSE which contains bone nodes used by HDTA body mesh which is weighted to be affected by the HDT nodes. If you already have working HDT on the default races, then you already have the extension, skeleton and body files. For a custom race, you need to determine if it provides its own skeleton and body files. It appears that you have found the body files for the custom race. If there are no skeleton files in the custom race's structure then it uses the skeleton that is already existing in the game. Thus all you need to do is replace the femalebody_0.nif and femalebody_1.nif with HDT compatible versions.
