arecaidianfox Posted December 16, 2015 Share Posted December 16, 2015 I've been trying to figure out what texture file this horrible-looking grass is so I can swap it out, but haven't had much luck. I even dumped several vanilla .BSAs and couldn't find it. I know it's not snowgrass01 or snowgrass02, nor does it seem to be mod-added. It's a grass texture introduced by, of all things, the normally splendid-looking Skyrim Flora Overhaul. Specifically the file "vurt_Icebush.dds", located in "data\textures\landscape\grass". Based on my experience so far, I would suggest replacing it with one of the lighter grass textures from Grim Grass ( http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/71240 ) or either color of Snowgrass02 ( http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/70977 ), though Snowgrass02 can look somewhat odd at that size. Personally, I may just squish one of those replacement suggestions to avoid huge grasses, or swap it out for a transparent texture and see what that gets me. I have also made a post on SFO's forum kindly asking vurt if he'd be willing to release a 1K or 2K resolution version of the original texture. Anyway, hopefully this short thread helps someone avoid having to dump hours of sorting out where that sad-looking piece of shrub comes from, and how to get rid of it.
