Hello guys,

i have started to mod skyrim again and just now i saw that when i try to sort my plugins with my LOOT executable, it doesnt detect all my plugins i have installed with Mod Organizer.

When i start LOOT it works but then it shows me just four plugins:

- Skyrim.esm

-HighResTexturePack01.esp

-HighResTexturePack02.esp

-HighResTexturePack03.esp

But when i look at the right pane in Mod Organizer under the plugins tab there are at least 20 plugins....

I dont know why but somehow LOOT doesnt detect those plugins altough it was installed as a executable.

My Mod Organizer folder is in my \Steam\Steamapps\Common\Skyrim folder.

My LOOT folder is also in my

\Steam\Steamapps\Common\Skyrim folder.

Sorry for my bad english but im from Germany and those German websites dont really help me :D

I hope you can help me :)

Make sure you actually installed them in Mod Organizer and didn't just download them into the manager. I made that mistake. Figured if I could see it listed there, I must be good? But I needed to right-click and install them too.

What the flipp!!!

I have just realized that my mods are not working!

I have also realized that my Ini files from Mod Organizer are not working.

I have the feeling that every time i start the game with the SKSE Excecutable it just runs the vanilla game!! Could it be that my Mod Organizer is somehow connected with the "normal" Skyrim folder or something????

I really dont know what i have done wrong....I modded the game several times but something like that ha never happend.

You've done two things that I did not. Your setup does not work, mine does. I can only guess that they may be the cause.

1. You installed Steam and Skyrim within the Program Files directory. Windows protects this directory and as a result has been known to cause issues with modding in general.

2. You installed Mod Organizer inside the Skyrim directory. Due to Steam, this is already a long path name. Adding MO underneath all that, the virtualization system could be running into issues with running out of characters before ever getting to calling the actual files.

I suspect #1 to be more of an issue than #2, but #2 is always a possibility.

Try moving your Steam & Skyrim installation. For example: C:\Steam & C:\Steam\Steamapps\Common\Skyrim

Try moving your Mod Organizer installation. For example: C:\Apps\ModOrganizer

I did move everthing outside of the programm files folders...

Still dont work :/

I moved my Mod Organizer folder to

\C:\Games\Mod Organizer

I really dont understand....Even if i click on the SKSE excecutable IN MOD ORGANIZER which i installed correctly it just runs the "vanilla" game from the \C:\Steam\Steamapps\Common\Skyrim folder as if Mod Organizer woudnt even run or something :(

I just moved the folders outside the programm files folders...should i try re-installing Steam,Mod Organizer etc.?

I hope there is a other way to handle my problem....

I suggest just starting over. Follow this guide to properly install everything (be sure to read links as well especially those flagged for MO): http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Skyrim_Installation

Backup your Mods, Downloads and Profiles folders in Mod Organizer. This will save you time by not having to download and install all your mods again.
