Dear Nexus Community,

Thank you so much for all the help I have received in the past You are the CK Oracle. Hope I can return the favour sometime soon.

I'm writing today because I am having a problem in the Creation Kit. It began about 48 hours ago. Whenever I am working on a mod in the Breezehome interior cell, the NavMeshing fails to launch, whether or not I have an Active mod or am starting afresh. The problem occurred after I began to get the error:

c:\projects\sbailey_buildfarm09\tesv\current\bscore\BSTArray.inl

Line 429

Invalid index passed to operator

upon toggling the NavMesh "button" in an interior cell. The wee message at the bottom of the screen says Creating Editor NavMesh, but the Navmesh fails to appear. This does not happen in any other interior or exterior cells, although the navmesh toggle is slower to respond than usual. I cant find anything on my (mid range) pc that resembles this file.

Could anyone make a suggestion?

yours truly,

EJH aka ThadeusCalvin

Breezehome navmeshes will cause issues if you're not careful and especially with Hearthfires For some reason there are two navmeshes in there there is one that consists of a couple of triangles in one corner of a room and another big one that covers the rest of the house - in Vanilla.

You have to leave the small navmesh in the corner COMPLETELY alone - any attempt to modify it or even touch it in any way will cause the game to CTD if you attempt to load it - in Vanilla Skyrim.

HOWEVER Hearthfires takes the small navmesh in the corner and extends it over the whole house and DELETES the original navmesh that used to cover the house. So you have to be VERY careful about which navmesh you're editing - big navmesh in Vanilla and small navmesh in Hearthfire - any attempt to load the HF version ingame without HF will cause CTD's and trying to edit the original navmesh which HF deleted will also cause problems which is what I think you're running into here.

Best advice is to locate the Breezehome navmeshes in TES5edit and scrub them and any edits they make entirely from the mod, save, then load up the now untouched, clean mod in the CK and it should load ok and start again but this time make sure Hearthfires is IN the load order when you start to edit again or you'll run into the same problem all over again, I suspect you started editing the navmesh without Hearthfires then attempted to add HF dependency, which is when the problems started.

I hope thats clear, its not at all easy to explain.
