Modding Curie Back to Normal! Romantic Robits and Troubled Troubleshooters!

It started out so simple. Well, it really didn't. Let me try and go back here. I started out with Curie, doing all the things she 'Loved' before I realized as a robot her affinity capped at 499 until I turned her into a synth. No, I didn't ponder how would basically a new cast for her brain would warrant new and complex emotions. I didn't stop to think that since all Third-Gen synths are modeled after the Father's DNA, that if I was gonna be going through with this I'd be, by extension, getting with my... No, not that. I just got her in the synth body and we had a jolly good time in the land of rainbows and pillow feathers. Things went downhill from there. First of all, I really wasn't digging the fact I HAD to put her in the synth body in order to get her perk. Even if I was put forth to get the robot body back, which is technically possible, it'd just be a floating silent robot that had no relation to my companion other than the name. I was at my breaking point when I did the goddamn Mr. Zwinky and Ms. Edna quest. I was hellbent on getting Curie back in that robot body, and with God as my witness I would find a way. I had only found out about the magic of Console Commands a few days ago, so it was far too late to go all the way back to my first encounter in Vault 81 to set the affinity to MAX. I tried spawning the robot body back in. I accidentally also spawned the synth version and I suppose they both trotted out for coffee, they immediately walked away from the Memory Den. For my next trick I tried resetting the quest, which obviously did jack-diddly. I would set Curie's affinity back to 250 and resetting the test, but it was already too late. She was a synth and she was staying so. Getting desperate I tried respawning the original pile of scrap Robo Curie was, to no avail. I can only find one solution.

 

A mod needs to be put together that can turn Synth Curie back to a Robot.

 

The specifics of which I can't eloquently vocalize. Perhaps it doesn't have to relate just to Curie. It might not be as hard to transfer one companion's AI and personality to another Entity. It wouldn't be hard for Curie, as her AI seems to remain the same as she tends to think her mushy meathands are still sawblades. The opposite could work for those who have a hankering for Synth Codsworth, or Mr. Gutsy Danse, teehee. Another method might be to create a whole new Entity that has the looks and animations of Robo Curie with the affinities of Synth Curie. That would be one interesting Saturday night. Or perhaps a new mod that makes the silent NPC types I mentioned earlier return to the state they used to be in. I kinda have this whitehaired Nora wandering Sanctuary Hills with the self-awareness of a blind Mole Rat, not to mention the two extra Curies playing poker at the Third Rail. Could the internet come to my side yet again? And while they're at it, could they find out the base ID of the Wastelander's Chest Piece?

Its a brave new world out there no need to be squeamish about sleeping with your granddaughter.

 

to get the id you want try this console command

 

help wastelanders 4 armo

 

that should give you all armor with the name wastlanders attached to it. I looked at wiki there are only 2 chest and a leg
