infected webpages?

Hello All,

 

Not sure if this is a known issue or not, but I'm experiencing issues with the nexus mods page. the pages constantly refresh and my antivirus sends me hundreds of notifications saying that: This webpage <do not click> http://video-player.ironbeast.io/ is identified as infected with malware. This webpage has been successfully blocked by Antimalware filter and your PC is now safe.

 

Is anyone else experiencing this issue on the nexusmods page? I don't get the notification on any other webpages.

This looks very much like a local malware problem - if you're running windows can you download/install/run Spybot Search & Destroy ?

 

We'd also like to investigate it our end to make sure - can you provide which URLS you've loaded on our site that show this - and if possible provide us with a full HTML output, or even better, try and find what file is loading this URL by looking inside Chome Developer tools, or Firebug inside Firefox?

What antivirus program is that?

 

Viruses these days are really bad with the worst being that encryption ransomware virus that encrypts all your files and demands money of some kind to get them back. You just can't decrypt the files and even if you pay the ransom there is little or no change the jerks will decrypt your files. BEST THING you can do is keep a redundant copy of your files at all times on an external drive that you rarely plug in say once a week to update stuff you want to save. Don't depend solely on your computer hard drive to save anything.

 

Some viruses are so bad you have to get rid of them with a rootkit detector/remover and even then you have to run that from a separate environment like a usb flash drive or another computer and some kind of hard drive reader to plug your drive into. Some of those kind of virus are so bad that even rootkit detector/remover can't remove them and you have to go through a lot of pain to get your hard drive back from them.

 

This is why it is important to have a limited user account for browsing the web instead of browsing with admin privledges like most people in the world do.

 

Really it would be better to browse the web with a rarely used OS like linux or even a VM or virtual machine instead of windows and malware explorer I mean internet explorer.

 

Whatever you do, don't try to watch FIFA from whatever source you desperately find just go down to the local bar and watch it or pay the outrageous fee for it at home. That one even is one of the single worst events for viruses and malware to spread.
