Speaking of which, i need to dump a bunch of Flags (( so far, i've got me about 135 solid images for both Strategy and Armor types, adapted from my LW work!! )) in wild undiscovered realms of XC2.

 

I just hope the 256x128 (Button-like for Barracks) will still be "filtered" by the Engine... simply because 128x64 would ruin the quality.

Hi, Zyxpsilon

 

I'm new to X-COM gaming and I saw colored class icons on my friend's game. From there, I found my way to your qUIck RCP - I am loving it!

 

I am looking forward to what else you plan to churn out!

 

One thing I'd like to ask - since I added mods (I played my first campaign vanilla and am using mods from on now) I noticed tech tree items would have a number before their names and I think it may be from your mod?

 

Is it possible for me to do a minor editing to hide those numbers? Here's an example of what I'm talking about.

 

 

 

Appreciate any help you may be able to offer :smile:

These are "Preview assets" of what LAByrinth will offer as gameplay features. Since we'll (Superd22 & I) be tracking the tech-tree and multiple elements from a dedicated menu option & screen(s)... the text strings that are directly related to Research items need to be referenced within the game as to provide details & help where & when it should make sense.

 

Not sure if that would work, but if you really don't want to have them at all -- you could simply try deleting the XComGame.INT file from this Mod folder;

"??:\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\###(for qUIck_RCP)\Localization\XComGame.int"

Strangely, Steam might still want to update that thing automatically later on.. but i can't control this behavior.

 

Once we can distribute the final version for LAByrinth, i just won't have to insert this file into qUIck_RCP anymore, btw.

I've just updated it "again" with more details... these might shed some light on what the whole premise aims for.

 

It's already hard to balance development phases between qUIck & LAByrinth for reasons out of my control like how far Superd22 is at the coding task. Can't predict.. but i'd rather not rush things. That kind of patience should allow me to continue working on a few more side projects.. the Flags pack & a full blown set of Characters within a custom Pool i've been stacking data for over the last month or so.

 

Modding is fun. Playing sharply more. Conflicting decisions included. :laugh: :geek:

Looks like the qUIck_FLG set of grouped files is slowly getting ready for some official release.. during next week or soon after!

 

1) The current FLAGS summary sheet for packages F1 & F2; (( EDIT--Updated! ))

F1 -- contains the basic 36 XC2 defaults while F2 has the top (nearly) populated five nations after XC2. This grouping system will also be used to represent "regional" countries such as the Balkans, Scandinavia, ex-Jugoslavia, post-soviet Baltics & various African areas, etc.

F2 -- has a couple more tricky gameplay features like the UnitedNations and a generic XCom "Country" !! :smile:

 

AND newly edited -- Stargate, Serenity, Rebels, Jedi, Predator, WeylandCorp (Aliens franchise)...

PS; The last rows have been added to supply a bunch of alternate (with Zero values for UnitWeight) gameplay concepts such as Star Trek, Fantastic-4, Avengers ( incl. HULK! ), Batman (and the usual enemies), Superman (+), SKyNet.

These will mostly be usefull when someone wants to easily detect special Troopers picked from the Character pool which were pre-defined as being "Nationality-Free" in terms of storyline context & features.

AF--rica really dominates the landscape (West, Central, East, South + the Middle-East) and they will too in the F5 group!

EU--rope & AS--ia received some of the ex-USSR "FlipOvers".

No more North & South American representatives and the very last of OC--eania just showed up as tiny pearls of the Pacific ocean.
