So KerbalStuff.com has closed, and with it the main source of mods for the KSP community. A large part of the community does not want the official channel (Curse), so this is going to heavily impact things.

Can the Nexus become a stable and sustainable home for KSP mods?

Is there a way of integrating it with CKAN (KSP's equivalent of NMM or ModManager), like KerbalStuff did? Optional naturally, because there is also a considerable number of mod creators and users that prefer not to work with CKAN.

Why did the Nexus not take off as a mod host for KSP, despite this section existing for quite a while now? I've tried finding discussions on the matter but come up empty.

Because nobody posts mods here? Upload mods and people will flock. No content, no visitors.
