Would it be possible to get some more hairstyles to choose from in the future?

I love to periodically change my character's hair/makeup/etc. but I'm so tired of the vanilla hairstyles. I played through the game completely 3 times on my Xbox (new game+ twice) so I've used virtually all of the available hairstyles several times.

I'm currently using the Aelinore and Quina hair replacer mod and, while a small change, it is such a breath of fresh air. Even just some more mods that alter existing hairstyles would be amazing.

If anyone's already modded their own game's vanilla hairs, please share! :D

P.S. Sorry if this is a repeat request! It's 6am and I still need to get to bed so I only looked through the first 2 pages! >_<

I have and I haven't found anything

I'm actually trying again as I'm typing this comment.

I just spent the past 40+ minutes looking all over for any sort of hair mods and they either don't exist or are impossible to find because pretty much everything that popped up was reviews, DLC announcements from 2012, and lists of the "best mods" for DDDA which are all ENBs and ReShades. Don't know how or why some of those were search results when I searched for "dragon's dogma dark arisen hairstyle mods"....but whatevs. I even found a link to this thread in my search lol

If anyone has any leads on where I could possibly find some hair mods, please share D:

Yes, realistically I don't think you can go further than replacers or minor retexture, creating new models doesn't seem to be possible.

But why don't you try yourself if you really want this? I can give you links to all the tools you need for extraction, editing, packing, repacking and explain how to do all this, but problem is, I'm bad at graphic editors and can't draw for **** xD. Maybe you have a knack for it?

If you're up for this, just ask, that might be fun =)

Hi,

I'm looking for information on how to export and import back hair files to edit them in the 3D program.

Will you help me?

The hair files are located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DDDA\nativePC\nativePC\rom\eq\hair

!! Make sure to Back-Up you files before starting editing. !!

Just use Photoshop and the DDDA image viewer to unpack them and repack. They are in order as they appear in game( the character edit list order). The .arc files once unpacked will be just like the other folders but the hair file that you will need to edit will be here: \model\pl\textures

Arc Extractor and Repacker and Image Viewer:

https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma/mods/25?tab=description

Video to using the Image viewer and Photoshop:

Also keep the edit within the space that is provide by the file: the game will read it if the size is right and also keep the hair black. Changing the colors is an different process.

Next make sure to save it in the same format, "save" Not "Save As" this will give you an error in game.

If anyone wants to still work on this let me know and I will help as best as I can. If you have any questions, I'll see if I can help you.
