Follower's Not Responding Properly

Hello there everyone, I'm having a bit of an issue with most of my followers in Skyrim.

You see, barring alot of custom followers, I can not seem to interact with ANYONE now for some reason. When I go to them at their hangout places then they behave just fine, dialogue shows up and all.

But the moment after I hit "Follow me" more often than not I'll get this strange option for "Yes, let me show you" and then the follower keeps saying "Lets see it" whenever I try to interact with them, the dialogue list doesn't show up at all. This isn't a random thing for all NPCs, I've kept a list of which NPCs bug out and which don't. Some react normally, while others barely get by. So I've been meaning to get some insight on how to fix this.
