Gatling Laser - Junk Jet Loading System

My request is simple. A mod for the Gatling Laser, that changes its reloading system to that of the junk jet's loading system, where you would insert a number of fusion cores in for the gatling laser to use. To give a visual idea, here is what the ammo hud icon would look like.

 

Current fusion core in use(500)

Fusion cores loaded and ready

 

The main reason I want this is so one can use the gatling laser and be able to freely switch between it and other weapons without having slightly discharged fusion cores pile up in my ammo section because the Gatling laser resets to a new fusion core upon switching. This would also likely solve a bug with the repair bobblehead where the Gatling Laser would not use the entire fusion core when the bobblehead's effect is active.

 

So can we get this mod to happen so the Gatking Laser can be actually fun to use?
