Kanori24
Well this has been the longest-lasting experience I've ever had until somethingbroke and completely ruined everything for me. I'm not looking for help, so I didn'tpost this in troubleshooting. All I want to do is rant. Here is my problem... modded Skyrim just screws up on its own. Yes, I know thisis to be expected. But so quickly after running reliably with no problems for monthsbefore? I WAS using XP32, CBBE, and Joy of Perspective with absolutely no problems.During the reinstallation of Skyrim and all my mods for, oh, the 5th time, I followedeach mod's instructions to the letter and everything was wonderful. I have neverhad such a wonderful gaming experience.... until... it breaks... I didn't say "I decided to screw with critical files and use all kinds of weird loadorder and incompatible mods" I said... "It breaks" like.... IN-GAME just BREAKS. I'm making my way through a dungeon and find a draugr. Excellent oppurtunityfor a sneak attack... so I draw my bow... aim carefully... and put the draugr downin one clean shot. Oh yes. Find another draugr... aim... and... what's this? SUDDENLY THE BOW WON'T ANGLE WITH THE CAMERA? I can look up anddown but not through the bow unless I'm looking straight ahead on a level plane.Again, I didn't leave the game and mess things up myself. I learned my lessonduring my first attempts at modding. This happened in-game, in real time. SO what do I do? I search for logical solutions. None. I reinstall XP32. No fix.I reinstall JoP AND XP32. There! FIxed it! But... now when I look down... my breasts... they distort and crush and UGHGGHH!!And I used the same exact mod files and install order and everything! I went through a slew of possible fixes. FINALLY found that JoP and XP32 seemto have conflicting instructions on how to install to one another. Well that's theirproblem, because I figure it out on my own. So I fixed that. Now I can look down, see my endowments. They seem fine.... but... NOW I CAN SEE DOWN THECENTER OF MY HOLLOW BODY?! Change FOV. Fixed. ...now my butt goes flat when I walk. "Oh that's easy to fix. I've had this issue before."I tell myself. "All I have to do is re-install XP32 because the skeleton file wasoverwritten by something else." Wrong. Re-install XP32. No effect. Annnnnnnnnnnd my mammaries are all messed up again. So let's recollect.. I'm playing my beautifully modded, well-working game... and itjust breaks... all this months after my MCM just stopped working and I know thereis no solution for that problem. These events have made it quite scary to try to play the game, vanilla or modded,if it's just going to break itself and then every solution I have, and have done BEFOREsuddenly will not work. And before you throw the "noob" flag at me, I am not new to this... have been moddingSkyrim since modding Skyrim was possible. I understanding which ones are compatibleand which ones are not. Load order, patches, yes I know about all of that stuff. But my game just breaks itself and now I'll most likely have to reinstall and thenreinstall all of these awesome mods and play a little while until something beyondmy control just comes along and sweeps it away from me. Can't a girl get a break?
Lisnpuppy
Nope...not a one. At least you stand a chance here. My real body does all that and I am pretty sure re-installing my skeleton isn't an option. Seriously though, that is just how it is sometimes. My Skyrim broke recently, had been running like a CHAMP...I did absolutely nothing to it. Nada and from one play and the next..BAM would not even get to the menu screen. *throws up hands* So I decided to play something else for a while. :) Good luck to you. One thing...maybe you should just...streamline or something. Regardless of what you have run before or in what order or what mod gods may have loved you...it just sometimes won't work and by making it do less you sometimes get to enjoy more. I wish you the best. I hope your rant helped!
csbx
The perfect modded Skyrim setup is like an abusive relationship that is difficult to give up--even with the constant threat of glitchy chaos and violence. I've been lucky with a level 16 character who hasn't yet been severed by a single CTD; but the 150 mods I have going will catch up to me eventually. Kanori24
I am so....SO stupid. :P While I still can't explain what happened to set off thisunfortunate chain of events, I did find what I was doing wrong... apparentlythe files for my skeleton that I had stored away was the incorrect one. I wassupposed to be using XPMSE. Apparently I never stored that one and I wastrying to use an earlier, incorrect version of Maximum Skeleton. So my body isback to normal now. Yay! Now let's see if I can do anything about the increase in frequency of CTDs...
