Looking for the nxcharacter.dll file

Recommended Posts

Since today i couldn't start dao as i lack the nxcharacter.dll file, lost due to avast sneak deleting it or a reboot did the trick not sure. The file is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Dragon Age\bin_ship , it's a file needed for nvidia physix . I tried to reinstall the physix drivers but that didn't help. I also tried to use the nxcharacter.dll from other games i have, but either it doesn't work (ut3) or i get weird cliping porblems (section 8 prejudice). So i came to the conclusion i need the DAO one. Using Recuva to recuperate it failed miserably.

I would really appreciate if someone could upload it somewhere i could download it (megaupload, hotfile....) and saving me a day of reinstalling DAO, Awekening, dlc and mods. The file is around 120kb. Do this and we might partake in a galactic high five.

Well here is the section8 nxcharacter... as apparently i saw other ppl with the problem. Game will launch, save we be loaded, but your character will walk only on one strait ligne and not acknowledge slopes. So we kinda still need the DAO one...

If you go into Avast Virus Chest, you can restore the file and Dragon Age will start working properly again.

Working great :) Thx
