Derrick3300 Posted June 4, 2011 Share Posted June 4, 2011 Since today i couldn't start dao as i lack the nxcharacter.dll file, lost due to avast sneak deleting it or a reboot did the trick not sure. The file is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Dragon Age\bin_ship , it's a file needed for nvidia physix . I tried to reinstall the physix drivers but that didn't help. I also tried to use the nxcharacter.dll from other games i have, but either it doesn't work (ut3) or i get weird cliping porblems (section 8 prejudice). So i came to the conclusion i need the DAO one. Using Recuva to recuperate it failed miserably. I would really appreciate if someone could upload it somewhere i could download it (megaupload, hotfile....) and saving me a day of reinstalling DAO, Awekening, dlc and mods. Game will launch, save we be loaded, but your character will walk only on one strait ligne and not acknowledge slopes.
