Storage? Banker? Chest?

Recommended Posts

Is there anywhere I can store items? My carry wieght is 250 atm and im walking around "overwieght" most of the time.

I looked around for a chest that I could put stuff into but didn't fimnd anything.

No extra storage anywhere in the game but there is a mod out there that will more than double your carrying weight to 500 to 550 .Also there are a few in game items that will increase Geralt`s strength to allow him to carry some additional items ...if i remember it`s a very meager amount maybe 5-10 . I`ll look around and see if i can find it again .

Sure would be nice to have a place to keep extra stuff, even if it was only as small as the Diablo II stash box, but I guess the game has to clean up rapidly to avoid overloading the RAM, so individual items are kept to a minimum to keep the gameplay running smoothly. To whit, bodies completely decomposing within a minute of death.

Just a thought, might it be possible to either "doctor" the pockets to allow different items to be held in them, or maybe add an extra row?

The Witcher games are about making meaningful decisions, so being able to carry huge amounts / weights of items would not fit very well. However, we understand that some players prefer not to have restrictions like this. So, we are glad to see community members producing mods that allow the game to be tailored accordingly.

The lack of storage bothered me at first too. If I recall, in Witcher, you could store items at the various Inns(?) But in TW2 I learned to travel lite and don't have any issues with that now. I only keep the weapons and armor that I need and get rid of the junk and I ignore a lot of items I may find during the course of the game. I tend not to use armor anyway so I only keep the best of it for those times when I really do need armor. Also, keep track of the weight of items like lumber and ore, they add up real fast. I only keep a few, many items are readily available if you need them.

Just go to your cookedpc/abilities/geralt_basic file and edit the line

# Max weight

<max_weight mult="false" always_random="false" min="5000" max="5000"/>

I've already edited it to 5000 in this case. You can put whatever weight you want, just put the same amount in min= as you do in max=

From what I've gathered by reading the info for the 1.3 patch we will be able to store and retrieve things from the inn keepers.

Curious about how the patch will work though.

Where's the innkeeper in Chapter 2 (Roche path)? I've never found him.

You don't have to actually talk to anyone for the storage option, just activate some chests near the innkeeper (in chapter 1), so it might just be some chest in Roche's tent (have yet to play Chap 2 on Roche's path so i don't even know the area!)

What i would like to know (before i find out the hard way): do stored items transfer to storages between chapters (i.e. can i access what i stored at the inn in chapter 1 in chapter 2)?
