The flyable airship would be the hard part, but people have pulled off similar things with the XRE mods for new vegas, and the Dev Azeva/airship mods for Skyrim. After that, it's just a matter of making a new worldspace called 'Prydwyn Interior', copying the Prydwyn main interior into it, minus all the NPC's, furniture, quest triggers, and so on, setting up the lighting, ect to mimic the interior cell, and then duplicating however settlements are defined and setup in the base game so that it functions as one. Of course, I have no idea how difficult it may be to create a functional settlement. Sending settlers to it from other settlements or creating caravan routes may or may not be possible, but certainly wouldn't be necessary - the point would be to have the ability to build inside it,

Doing it this way would give you a mobile exterior model (Though you would have to fly it from somewhere on the outside, rather then the actual bridge) and a settlement inside it accessed via an exterior door.

Since it'd need to be flown from the exterior, the 'secondary bridge' at the rear of the flight deck (look left after fast-travelling) would be an excellent place for a helm.

Coding-wise, I'd look at the Skyrim airship mods; this shouldn't be too different structurally. My only concern is that the sheer scale of the vessel could cause some... issues.

I was pretty much thinking along the same lines. You've got all that glass around, it looks enough like a bridge. As for the main bridge, rather then just leaving it empty or doing something else with it, stick an NPC or terminal in there that can be used to 'fly' (Teleport) the ship to a list of preset locations from the inside.

Hell, it's basically the same engine, so any of the handful of people that did working airship/sailing ship mods for Skyrim would probably already have a fairly good idea of how to do it.

  • 1 month later...

i may be able to help since i have had some experience with the Fallout:3 GECK,

And i'll see to asking anyone/youtubers that i know/are acquainted with to see if they have any/at all experience with the Creation Kit/GECKs.

I will also look into XRE Vertibird mods from Fallout New Vegas,

and one question, would you want to have a weapon system?

Because it would be a little harder to do if you did.
