MadTod Posted March 29, 2016 Share Posted March 29, 2016 (edited) I can no longer receive quests from Preston or the Radio. I am unsure if this is a bug or if I is because I have yet to establish enough settlements, by establish I mean increase the population, add food and water etc. as thus far I have just unlocked the Work Station and have a few settlers at a few locations. SetArk Posted March 29, 2016 Share Posted March 29, 2016 You recieved a gift from the gods so that Preston won't be flooding you with quests, don't turn your back on it!Now, on a serious note, something like that happened to me some time ago, for some reason, the game just refused to give me Radiant quests... Then, when advancing on the main story, suddenly, there were he, Preston, giving me another settlement to help xDTry completing some of the main story, or just explore a bit. midfit Posted March 29, 2016 Share Posted March 29, 2016 Ive had this bug for my last few play throughs. I have all the settlements, i've completed all the main quests and no MM radiant quests. timlewis903 Posted March 30, 2016 Share Posted March 30, 2016 I have found that some mods that tweak things concerning the Minutemen tend to tweak how often the radiant quests are given. Both "We are the Minutemen", and "Minutemen overhaul" say that they tweak it in the descriptions. So if you are using either of those mods they might be the cause. I to have ran into this problem. Sometimes even with quests to unlock settlements. The only thing I have seen to fix it is go do something else and usually it fixes itself after a while. Hope that helped. MadTod Posted March 30, 2016 Author Share Posted March 30, 2016 I only have 15 defence at the settlements that have people at them, as I stated I haven't really done anything with settlements yet. Well I have 5 artillery, 10 missile turrets and 5 heavy machine gun turrets at The Castle, totalling 200+ defence, I tell you the Institute and the Brotherhood of Steel didn't stand a chance. I just installed "We are the Minuit men" but Ive had this problem for my last 3 or so play troughs before I even downloaded this mod. timlewis903 Posted March 31, 2016 Share Posted March 31, 2016 Another mod that effects radiant quests that is the "no settlement attacks" mod. I use the mod sometimes while out adventuring, and not wanting to be bothered to defend settlement A on the other side of the commonwealth from where I am especially when I am making my way to another quest target. Sometimes it is easy to forget that you have that mod on, and that you need to disable it before you can have radiant quests again. I forgot about that earlier when I was mentioning possible mods that might be the cause. Hopefully that will help someone with their issues.
