Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition: The Siege of Dragonspear (Optional Storyline Piece) Announcement

Have faith Baldur's Gate Fans for D&D has not been forgotten. As stated and I quote from the pcgamer website:

 

"Beamdog has confirmed that the mysterious "Adventure Y" is in fact a new Baldur's Gate game it won't be a sequel, however, but will instead take place in the gap between the enhanced editions of the original game and Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn"

 

Also stated within the article is the mention of a Baldur's Gate III. "We'd be lying if we said we would never think about doing a Baldur's Gate III game so we won't say that."

 

You guys and gals think this is a good plan for Beamdog? Give your opinion.

 

Personally it would be awesome for a one heck of a long Trilogy Edition.

 

What do you think of a possible Trilogy Edition combining all the game into one game with the possibility of them converting to 5e rules?

With some of the stuff I hear going on over there due to their last expansion or dlc or whatever you want to call it, has had a major stink over reviews. Most reviews cover massive bug issues and poor writing in the story; however a SJW within the company is saying to media groups that the real reason hate it is due to the sexual identification of one of the characters in it. With Fans a little peved about this deflection from the company its going to be an uphill battle.
