HoneyBearSquish
Just some ideas for more neon signs. Different alphabets, smiley faces, symbols, shapes. http://m8.i.pbase.com/u40/accl/upload/26139478.CRW_0859_RJa.jpghttp://www.travel-images.com/pht/japan86.jpghttp://il7.picdn.net/shutterstock/videos/2673689/thumb/1.jpg?i10c=img.resize(height:160)http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4142/4919894956_bf1ab6c91b_b.jpg
steve40
Hint 1: Fallout 4 is set in USA not Asia.Hint 2: using the signs of actual companies would violate trademark/copyright and probably get you banned.Hint 3: the DLC has some new neon signage. HoneyBearSquish
i just think the Asian letters are pretty lol i wouldn't want actual companies signs I love the new dlc ^^ i love anime , and Asian Art/Architecture, i hope somebody adds Asian architecture build sets, especially Asian lanterns lol any neon signs would be awesome tho xD
XanWasting
yeah, I think so too (late to the party, i know).I mean, what's the point in thinking about the setting when making mods? And neon signs, as they are now, don't even have a $ sign, never mind moonrunes. c'moooon, what's the point of even having neon signs if you can't slap big, fat, green $ all over your market or casino or whatever you make your settlement into. Gruffydd
I've been wanting to add neon to my signs and posters mod for a while, but had no luck getting blender to work. Now that I've got a little more time I'll have to give it another try. I've got the illumination part figured out, I just need to learn how to make the meshes (because neon signs should be 3d, not 2d).
MightyZ0G
Hint 1: Fallout 4 is set in USA not Asia.China Town in Boston is just South of Boston Common. no reason why there couldn't be neon signs with an Asian flavour in that area.
montky
indeed! this would be awesome.crud-tastic scrap signs, and damaged holo-emitters... Corvega Chryslus or Vault Tec,or Enclave billboard neon signs.blacklight neon signs hehe. such 'high tec' stuff, might proliferate in the Boston Wasteland,if the Institute joins forces with the BoS, minutemen, NCR etc... a while back, a couple of modders were teaming up to make more plopabble neon signs.its not just neon bulbs - PhotonicInduction, Chua' presents and PeriodicTableofVids outline other lightbulbs too.nixie tube displays etc. my own stuff? I like lava-lamps that are properly lava-y, lenticular stuff, and holograms and all,so I'd prefer that Marty-McCool cowering from a shark hologram kind of thing hehe.Holograms were a big part of prior fallouts.diffraction goggles, encoding in the textures... all kinds of awesome stuff could be made. battle-damaged holo-emitters, holographic disguise entrances, etc. Red Rocket Spa and Resort, North Concord,Starlight City and Greygarden City is missing a certain something, and I think Neon Signs are it!Diamond City already has a lot of awesome signs, but more couldn't hurt hehe. The Shi would probably set up near Yangtze at some point, and remake that hotel area into some awesome stuff. here's another lore angle;Like that DaVinci neon artist in New Vegas, who cobbles together craptacular neon signs from bits of crud.it's amazing when you consider how cost-effective DaVinci is. trapped glowing-ones might be able to sleep in a settlement,or might be held involuntarily for the feral ones, inside "signage pens"...
