i put this into the wrong place and now i finally got it into the right one so excuse me haha

so, i have a heavily modded skyrim with almost a hundred mods. all are compatible with each other and work completely fine with the game. i have SSME and ENBoost to help with the preformance and almost completely stop the crashes. and all is well.

so i used to have RealVision ENB, but after searching a bit i found Tamriel Reloaded ENB. so i removed realvision and installed tamriel reloaded including tamriel reloaded HD, which replaces almost every single texture with very high quality textures.

now, the game looks like this: http://imgur.com/a/6kFmS

now, onto the issue, everything works completely fine..

..except for some FPS spikes and some pretty bad and annoying stuttering. this doesn't make the game unplayable, no, but these stutters are extremely annoying and happen a lot when i start moving around. i tried everything i could to stop these stutters. i tried editing and messing around with many options of enblocal.ini and even other inis, but so far to no avail. i love this game and i want to play it without any stutters. and here, to give some more information, before i installed tamriel reloaded and when i had realvision, ENBoost worked fine and there were no stutters at all. when i reinstalled it onto tamriel reloaded, this all started happening. oh, and i turned on VSync and FPSLimit and put the FPSLimit to 60, cause i suppose the FPS was causing such terrible stuttering. but no, the FPS goes crazy and goes up to 4000 FPS, which freaks me out for some reason when i first saw it.

i suspect it may be the FPS, but no matter what i try the FPS just won't limit itself to 60 like it's supposed to.

i may consider reinstalling ENBoost, because perhaps i installed it wrong onto tamriel reloaded. or perhaps, if nothing works at all, i will just revert back to realvision.

i have 16 GB RAM and an AMD FX™-8320 Eight-Core Processor, but i don't know if this kind of information is needed at all.

please, if you can, just try to give me a solution. i want to play this game like i never had before.

here is my enblocal.ini, btw:

including tamriel reloaded HD, which replaces almost every single texture with very high quality textures.

LOL! It doesn't even cover 10% of the game.

i may consider reinstalling ENBoost, because perhaps i installed it wrong onto tamriel reloaded

But you do know that ENBoost is already included in all ENB presets? Because when you say you installed ENBoost on top of another ENB preset you definitely did something wrong.

How about the most important thing: your graphics card?

Major stuttering is usually memory related. When your running a bunch of heavy textures which it sounds like you are.......thats what happens.

tone it down on the grass and texture mods and it will reduce your stuttering.

and yeah what gpu you have is very important.

I have a pretty decent system and with ENB + skyrim realistic overhaul, and flora overhaul, and others, its playable but stutters waay too often for my taste.

So i stay away from the grass mods and keep it light on the textures.

also consider using optimized vanilla textures to save some vram.

here is information directly from the STEP guide.

  • Microstutter - This is an annoying 'glitchiness' when moving or panning for those using higher-end graphics cards (usually) or multiple GPUs in SLI or CrossfireX configs (purportedly). Follow the recommendations for ENBoost, noting in particular EnableVSync=true . If this does not resolve the issue:
    • Ensure that microstutter is not being confused with 'macro'-stutter, which is more severe and memory related. Remember: microstutter is very annoying, but not hindering in any way.
    • Try forcing vsync via Nvidia Inspector (Nvidia users) or RadeonPro (AMD users) ... sorry Intel users. Also (and this is very important), enable D3D-compatible triple buffering via RadeonPro. Nvidia Inspector users: D3D-compatible triple buffering is not available. Use D3Doverrider instead. This may also have a vsync function.
  • Macrostutter - This is most likely the result of using textures and meshes that exceed the limits of GPU VRAM. ENBoost should prevent this in most cases, but certain user configurations and/or hardware may not behave as expected:
    • Verify ENBoost settings and graphics settings described under STEP 1.E.!
    • Re-install the most performance-friendly versions of mods as indicated by the "Quality Options" column of the mod tables above.
    • Consult the DDSopt Guide to learn how to optimize textures accordingly.
    • Finally, Un-install Skyrim Flora Overhaul, which is easily the most VRAM-intensive mod in STEP (although there are others under STEP 2.F. and STEP 2.G. in particular).
    • Enable windowed mode via ENBoost (instructions at bottom of mod page).

Hi

The type of stutter you get may depend on your hardware.

With the 970 & 980 I got microstutter. To get rid of it all I had to was switch the game off then on again. 9 times out of ten that would get rid of it. Having more than one source for vsync can cause this. When I started using driver only vsync it only happened on rare occasions.

With the 980 ti I got Macrostutter. To keep it under control I had to not use the ENB executable to control vram. This was hard to do because without it my game easily runs out of ram. This was a conflicted between ENB & the 980 ti. Now with version .305 all stutter is gone. I can now use enableCompression & not use EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks. For me this has been the biggest breakthrough since the skse memory patch.

The other two types of stutter are CPU & I/o. Not as common.

My 970/980 setup was very happy with RealVision & I used it for a long time. That didn't stop me form trying other presets. With most I got poor results.

You don't really need to uninstall Realvision. All you have to do is copy the ENBlocal & ENBseries inis to another folder & add the new preset. If it doesn't work out, copy the RealVision inis back. Climates of Tamrial is very flexible & good for testing.

I now use Vivid Weathers ENB. It has nice outdoor visuals but doesn't top VealVision for interiors.

FYI. You are not heavily modded until you cross the 200 mark. :laugh:

EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=false

Set this to TRUE.

ReservedMemorySizeMb=256

Try boosting, say 320 or 384.

Hopefully will resolve a lot of your issues.

Unless i am mistaken, when you run ENB,

UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics=true

This should be set to FALSE. When it is set to true, it basically means to disable all ENB settings and only use the memory boosts. You should also check that the ENB you use, supports the Enboost version you use.

I have FX8350, 16GB RAM and GTX750Ti 2GB and i play without ENB, but with FXAA process injector + Enboost instead. And the game is very smooth, but i have concluded, that for stability's sake, it's better to use 1K textures for enviroment and only use 2K for small things. And sometimes i hit 1.5GB VRAM. So depending on your GPU, you may be hitting VRAM limit. You can see how much VRAM you use by keeping open while you play GPU-Z (sensors section). Still, ocasionally, i get a momentaneous stutter when turning around, after loading a new area, usually with heavy textures and many NPCs. For example, when i get out of Breezehome and load Whiterun. So i think the GPU's bandwidth plays big role here.

Also, you should consider overclocking your 8320 to 4Ghz (8350 levels). Skyrim uses 4 cores with the FX83XX and depending on what mods you have installed, you may need the extra 500Mhz. Basically, you need to go to BIOS, disable turbo and APM, raise multiplier to x20 and depending on your motherboard, change vcore a bit. You can stress test with Prime95 blend for 10 hours to see if you are stable. Usually, it takes about 1.30-1.32 vcore in BIOS to be stable at 4Ghz.

Also, ENBs tend to kill fps, even with very good GPUs. This is why i use FXAA process injector. The downside is, that the game stays more true to the original, but has increased sharpness and smoothness, as you use FXAA as antialiasing (FXAA blurs the picture, but the injector sharpens it and balances things out). You basically get no FPS loss at the end. At the end, even on my entry GPU, you get 50-60 fps everywhere.
