Improving Enemy AI

Hey everyone,


I'm looking into improving enemy AI by having enemies make more intelligent decisions based on their surroundings, as well as the player's actions. I am wondering if anyone has made any significant progress in improving this area of the game. So far I can only think to modify and script the AI to work around the area unique to the enemy using creative marker placement and navmeshing, but trying to universally improve the AI in all situations seems to be beyond the capabilities of the Creation Kit.


Does anyone have any resources available for understanding enemy AI in more detail, and scripting related to combat scenarios? Is it possible to modify the lower level decision trees the AI uses when making combat decisions? Or do we need to write in scripts that make calls to these procedures in a different way?
