Bad fps with gtx 980 please help

Alright so i'm at a bit of a predicament i'm trying to mod my skyrim and i don't know if i'm doing something wrong or if card just can't handle these mods at a good fps, i thought it would be able to but any help would be great.

 

This is my mod list so far and my game dips down to 10-20 fps and is at 35-50. But it dips very very often. I don't know if my card should be performing better with these mods if not i guess i'll remove some but if there's something wrong with my card i'd to know so i can return it since i got it 2 weeks ago.

Also my cpu is a 4770k and 16gb of ram and i have skyrim on my SSD

Use Skyrim Performance Monitor to test your hardware.

 

A GTX 980 can run Skyim at 4k without ENB at over 60fps. At 1080 with ENB 60fps without DoF. With Vivid Weathers regular ENB you should average 50fps with DoF. With their deluxe ENB you should be in the high 20s(too stressful). If you have over 86% average usage you will get more CTDs usually in combat.

 

Only ENB can slow a 980 down at 1080. Not even your 2k textures can do it.

 

Your i7 should have 26 to 37% usage with peaks up to the 70s. If it runs in the high 90s your frame rate will be in the teens. Once you go into the single digits your CPU will not recover. You will have to restart the game.

 

Meshes & scripts can slow your CPU down. Resolution & ENB slow your GPU down.

 

There are un-optimized areas in most mods the have their own world space. It is best to test in Skyrim.
