EdtheAminal Posted August 19, 2011 Share Posted August 19, 2011 To do the Harpy quest IE: to destroy the nests i need to have a firefly bomb. I am in act2 and have been to every merchant and craftsman in town but nowhere can I find this diagram or bombs to purchase. LenSquig Posted August 19, 2011 Share Posted August 19, 2011 (edited) "Firefly bomb" must be a old pre-release name for the Harpy Trap.You need to buy a diagram to craft Harpy Traps (you will need to make 7 of them).I believe the Runesmith, the Blacksmith and the human guy that sells traps and bombs carries the diagram. FastBlackCat Posted August 19, 2011 Share Posted August 19, 2011 If you leave the harpy traps lying on the ground near the nest sites, the harpy's will pick them up themselves. Last game I spent a couple of minutes at the quarry (near the hut of the gent that wants harpy feathers) watching the harpys grab the traps and drag them around with them. It was sort of like watching a fantasy zoology documentary :laugh: . There are also lures available to purchase/craft, but I've never used them myself. But it was great fun to watch one of them pick up the trap and in one case I saw the harpy land in the nest and the damn thing went off...poor harpy went UP and over...in flames. Loved it. I'm in a second playthrough so when I get to harpy time, I'll hang around the quarry a little bit longer than I did the last time watching the fun. Those darn harpies are almost as pesky as cliff racers in Morrowind (well, the cliff racers were just plain nuisances after about level 2) and drowners in TW1. I also like standing on the edge of the quarry watching them fly up the path towards me, thinking "That's right. You do all of the work and tire yourselves out.
