I installed many mods and hd texture packs and Im absolutely enthralled with how amazing this game can look. With the nice graphics I really get absorbed into the game, until I come across this issue where if I look a certain way certain textures will turn grey and then turn back when I move again.

Im not sure whats causing this...

Here are some pictures as well to help explain what im seeing

please tell me there is a way to fix this...

Your card isnt rendering things fast enough, remove some of the mods and see where that gets you. And also, next time just upload a .txt file copy of your .ini nexus forums have a feature for attachments like that.

Ive got a GTX 470 overclocked faster than a 480 and a Q9650 at 4.2ghz. Everything should be fast enough- the textures arent really missing or loading slow or anything- everything is there running ok, its just when i look at them at certain angles they turn grey again and then back to normal, and its only those textures. Its kind of hard to explain, but if I look at them from a certain angle it will be gray. If I move my mouse a couple pixels to the right the textures will appear like normal. If I move my mouse back the other way, they turn gray again. I can try to upload a video later on too.

Also, I really only installed Oblivion to play Nehrim, and I found this guy is having the same issue. Maybe its a problem with some kind of texture in Nehrim overlapping with something?

I think that this is a vanilla Oblivion design defect that cannot be fully eradicated. I have experienced this issue on two different computers with original graphics cards. The place I most often see it is the Mouth of the Panther. The ship often turns orange along with lots of other nearby items. Certain of the Kvatch ruin meshes can also be seen to turn grey when used in mods.

did anyone ever figure out a fix for this?

Sorry for the oldest necro in history, but the cause is indeed oblivion stutter remover for future reference

I have tried for years to figure out what causes this glitch and never could. Thank you. Its just too bad there is not a fix, at least not one that I can find for it.

OSR is not the cause, it is also a different problem from this. The original problem had to do with a shader getting f*#@ed up. The yellow meshes problem is a vanilla bug and cannot be truly fixed. OSR is simply a mod that makes it worse. I have experienced it on console
