Origin of the Mages Guild

Origin of the mages guild is a lore mod that takes the weak guild seen in Oblivion after Traven dies and restores it to what it was as described in the book "Origin of the Mages Guild".

I haven't played this mod yet and will soon I just wanted
to comment that "True Lore" Mods are a rarity and you seem
to grasp the concept very well.I will be watching this mod
and see what comments are posted.I'm a mod reviewer on a
game site and Mods such as this are of interest to me as
they are original and you seem to be a intelligent person.

Thanks Scoobyswanson but you might want to hold off on reviewing this mod. I work in stages, lay down the core mod, expand it, add detail and finish it off. Sometimes this is done quickly, sometimes it takes 15 months as was the kvatch with kvatch aftermath. Either way i have big plans for this. Btw check out the second text file included in the mod, it explains the lore behind mod, all of it is in the game somewhere so you can check every point i make easily. Well not that easily, you need to talk to a lot of people but its not hard.

im very interested as well.
i have not TES foreknowledge, so this seems right up my alley.
and i feel like i wont need to do any tweaking in the CS for it either. i'll be looking in.

I like that its a "true lore" mod, which is a rarity [as Scoobyswanson stated]

I play sevearl characters, all of them but one the MQ is not touched. Do I need to complete the MQ first? Do I need to complete the mages quest first? I did read everything on the mod page lol But I want to make sure I read it right lol

You can enable this from the very start of the game so it does not really matter what quests you do or have done.

I have added some screenshots in a link on the file description and the background story which is a little bit of a spoiler if youve not done the mages guild quests before.

This looks like a great idea. I've DLed your mod, but will hold off on installing it.

We play Oblivion now with Alternative Start, which turns off the MQ forever or until the player wants to trigger it. It just became too much to deal with the whole oblivion gate thing repeatedly when starting new characters. Not a very lore respecting way to play, but it saves time.

Hopefully there eventually will be a way to use your mod with the Alternative Start.

We love the Kvatch rebuilt mod. We used it until we started using the Alternative start.

You do good work. Thank you

You mean Kvatch Aftermath.

This mod will work with alternative starts btw. They should not effect it in any way.
