I started playing rush on operation firestorm. I was attacking. I always snipe, usually from close range. This was like four days after the game came out so i was using the SV98. I had a bipod and a 12x scope. I climbed to the top of the hill directly to the right of the original spawn at the beginning of the game and laid down. After 30 minutes or so, of simply spotting for my teammates and using the MAV, the enemy had been pushed back to their last stand. Defenders are notorious for climbing atop the crane at the very back of the map and sniping while laying down on top of the crane. Two enemys appeared and began sniping. It took around 15 shots just to see what the drop was and where my bullets where landing. After about 20 shots, i struck one of the guys laying down on the platform. It was not a headshot and he immedeatley got up and moved about for a minute or so. The other fella simply stayed in position and continued with his killing. keep in mind, in the 12x scope at this range with this gun, the bullet was dropping 20 feet and over half way towards the bottom end of the scope. Finally at around bullet number 32 or 33, i killed the first guy with a headshot. The reading on the screen was 735 meters. Two shots later i killed the other guy only feet away from him. 734 meters. Holy cow, i thought. Of the two guys i killed, one of them climbed back up the ladder and tried to shoot me with his m21 but i was able to stand up and dance a jig because it was so far away that his nearest bullet landed 20 feet from me. Every one of his rounds fell short by 30 feet. Moments later the other guy that i killed, apparently frustraited, hopped in a jet and while im standing on top of the mountain jumping up and down for the other guy, i begin to get dive bombed by a f18. He never got me but he destroyed my spawn beacon. My buddy has not topped my 735 meters yet. I sniped from atop the tower in caspian border and only got a 618 meter headshot. PowderdToastMan Posted November 9, 2011 Share Posted November 9, 2011 Yea, the longest ive seen so far is 981 meters here: I am working on a way to get over 1000 meter shot. And yeat at above video. Big Deal. Spawn killing with a headshot, am I supposed to be impressed? I am more impressed when there is a sniper on my squad laying few rocks away from me and as I walk toward an MCOM a random guy pops in front of me and start shooting at me and then drops dead. Gracinfields Posted November 10, 2011 Share Posted November 10, 2011 RPG hit on a fast moving AH-1Z for the killing blow, that really cheesed off the crew :) . Oh and a 22 Person Kill streak on foot with the M16a3, I was finally put down by a volly of hand grenades that filled the whole house I took cover in. As for projecties they do go beyond 1k Meters, however the bullet is no longer Trackable at that point; at least what I heared from some other high level players.
