xXCrisis42Xx Posted March 12, 2013 Share Posted March 12, 2013 having the same issue here and mine does infact read DVD's but when i put the skyrim disc in, the computer speeds up as if attempting to read the disc but after a few minutes nothing happens, it does nothing, now I wouldn't normally care if infact I didn't actually NEED to use the disc for installation due to the "Skyrim.esm" file not being included with the steam DL of the game. I tried to install skyrim from the disk and it wouldn't read, then I tried my oblivion disk and it did read that, and then I tried the skyrim disk again and now my computer did read the disk ...How very strange I don't know why it suddenly started to read the disk but it did.
