The purple texture glitch

So I've just recently finished three days of Skyrim debugging and just when I thought it was finally all over and I could start my game, purple textures start showing up. Here's what happens exactly:

 

I'll load a game and everything will be fine for a few minutes. Then I'll load another cell and this cell will contain purple or black textures. Clothes, items and objects appear purple or black while grasses and tree leaves appear as 2D black slabs. This can be fixed by simply saving and reloading, but I don't want to have to reload the game every five minutes.

 

I've encountered this issue once before as a result of running out of VRAM, but since then I've upgraded from a GTX 680 to a 980 and have run tests using Skyrim Performance Monitor. The results of those tests tell me that VRAM usage normally doesn't go above 2600MB and certainly doesn't come close to 4096. I've done a bit of research on the topic and all of the results say either there are missing textures (which isn't the issue, since a texture can load just fine once or twice but be purple the next time and reloading the save fixes them) or VRAM (which I've already ruled out).

 

The most mysterious part about this is that it appeared seemingly from out of nowhere. During the three days I spent testing and screwing about with the game, this never happened.

 

I'm using Mod Organizer, SKSE v1.7.3, FNIS v6.3 and ENB v292.

 

My computer specs:

Motherboard: ROG ASUS Rampage IV Extreme

Processor: Intel i7-3930K @ 3.2GHz

RAM: 32GB DDR3

Hard drive: 446GB SSD, 96.0GB free

Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 980, 4GB VRAM

I am doubtful.... Since you've upgraded your specs, I'm wondering what can be causing this. My first thought would be to make sure the game uses default settings and files in order to be in good condition to work properly. If not even already checked, let's try some things below :

• Backup your ini files if you have modified them and delete the files. Skyrim.ini / SkyrimCustom.ini / SkyrimPrefs.ini found in C:\Users\Utilisateur\Documents\My Games\Skyrim then use your vanilla launcher to autodetect and use best settings for your computer.
• Make sure you're using correct settings for your ENB and that it's correctly set and installed. Try deactivating it to see if it corrects the problem...
• Untick ALL your mods from your mod manager / launcher, (not uninstall) then test in game.
• Verify gamecache to be sure your textures.bsa is healthy.
• Have you modified your skse.ini ?
• Do you use any ugrid modification ?
• Can you post a screenshot please ?

So I've done an interesting bit of testing today, and here's what happened: The issue disappeared just as mysteriously as it first came to be. I got it early this morning, restarted my PC and then nothing. Not a single purple texture, not a single black slab. Nothing. I suppose that this makes sense - my PC had been running for almost three days straight and I've seen stranger things happen when I leave it going for that long without a restart. This would also explain the issue's rather sudden appearance.

 

I appreciate your willingness to help, and apologize that this doesn't seem to be an actual consistent problem but merely the result of... an overworked computer. Sorry for wasting your time.

An advise : this problem occurs often whan your computer is out of VRAM right ? Depending on your specs, restart your computer every 2-4 hours. In three days you probably started a lot of programs, background tasks and associated services, etc.. all these things are subject to increase CTD.
