Bio:

Born to farmers in rural Massachusetts, Eli would often accompany his father on hunting trips, where he learned to be quite handy with a long rifle. At the age of 17, with war brewing on the horizon, he enlisted, first in the RSP of his local National Guard unit, before being shipped off to OSUT at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, where he learned the finer points of combat and combat engineering. Having an affinity for riflery that his Drill Sergeants noted as 'downright terrifying', he graduated and reported to his unit just in time to be shipped out. From campaign to campaign, he did his best and learned on the fly, becoming quite recognized among his unit. During a routine patrol, he showed a cool head and calm demeanor when his platoon came under attack, responding with accurate fire and precision. Eventually, this style would earn him the rank of Sergeant, approved enthusiastically by his CO, Captain Michael Townsend.

During operations in Anchorage, he was on patrol with a large squad, when they were ambushed by Chinese forces utilizing heavy machine guns. When one of the Power Armor suits was heavily damaged and the operator wounded under heavy fire, he raced to their aid. Utilizing a compact cutting torch, he freed the operator from the armor, only to receive burns across his face when an enemy's bullet struck his torch, causing it to flare up. Though badly wounded, he continued fighting until reinforcements arrived, and was taken with the other wounded for treatment. Discharged a few weeks later, he returned home to his wife and infant son, and remained there until the bombs fell. Like the other residents of Vault 111, he was placed in suspended animation for approximately 210 years, and awoke as the only survivor, to find his wife dead and son missing. Vowing revenge, he found his way out of the vault, and out into the sunlight.

Looking with sadness upon the world that stood before him, he hurried to his home, expecting to find nothing more than rubble. Instead, to his shock, his house stood, proud and nearly spotless. The reason? Codsworth, his faithful Mr. Handy, who had kept the structure cared for for over two centuries. Elated, he opened the safe hidden in his bedroom and extracted one of his few surviving posessions- a Colt AR-15, patterned after the M16 of days long past, as well as his trusty sidearm, a Glock 20. Though rough around the edges, it had never failed him in Anchorage or anywhere else, and to it he would still trust his life in this unknown world.
