Totally Non Lore Friendly And Immersion Breaking Mod Request.?

So in Skyrim one of my favorite mods to use is still " Haven Bag " http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/21454/? and I thought that a Fallout 4 version would be cool where a person could teleport into a Nuka Cola bottle instead of a Coin Pouch like Haven Bag from Skyrim. I know it's not lore friendly and very possible lore breaking but darn it sounds like a fun idea and I think it would make a fun and popular mod. Anyway I was just putting the idea out there if anyone far more talented than myself with the G.E.C.K. wants to give making this mod a try. Thank You have a wicked awesome day.

A portable home? For lore-friendliness, just call it "Vault-Tec experimental interdimensional installation", with the idea of VT researching "bigger on the inside" technology. They built a small portion of a vault (just a room) into a small device before trying to do it with a whole vault, which you then find.

That is certainly one way of explaining how it came into existence. I myself since I'm not very good at making up back stories would have just used Handwavium to explain it into existence.

I've actually suggested this before.

But a lore-friendly version:

A tent.

You place the tent the same as you would with the Campsite mod (this tent would be bigger), but this object is a portal to an interior cell. All of your crafting goodies (only smaller) and one of those Universal Storage Containers are inside.

Boom.

Lore friendly and practical.

I may do this, myself, if I can get around to it one of these days. Really it just needs a decent-sized tent model.

There are tent models in Far Harbor. They might be a bit too small, but it doesn't have to match up exactly with the interior anyway. The tend mod for Morrowind was about 4x bigger on the inside and it was ok.

So kind of like the Portable Tent mod by Fee510 ( http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/36372/? ) way back in Fallout: New Vegas.? . . Because I thought that mod was great except that it would get glitch when I set it up inside an interior cell. Is there even a tent mesh or model in the base game.?

P.S. I haven't played the base game yet. I've just watched other peoples playthroughs. I'm saving up for a computer that can handle Fo4.

I seen a ton of cool tent models for sale on Turbosquid and Renderosity marketplace that would looks awesome in the game. I might poke around and see if there are any Royalty Free + All Extended Uses tent mods that are game ready and not very expensive.

Almost exactly like that mod.

In the mean-time, Conquest should scratch your itch. I was thinking basically like the tent mod listed above, but where you can camp any where with a campsite like in Conquest, and if you're in a settlement you could drop the tent like in Basement Living.

Basement Living is more or less the same idea, too. You drop a door in your settlement. That door is a portal. All I'm talking about is a tent instead of a door. And if you're outside of a settlement you use the Action: Build Campsite option instead.

Between those two there really shouldn't be anywhere in the game you can't drop a tent.

Again, the tent would be a portal to a pre-made interior cell with all of your needs (a la Haven Bag) and universal storage. Basically this mod would marry two great concepts with three great mods -

Conquest (placing a tent any where)

Basement Living (making that tent a portal to an interior cell)

Provisioner Supply Containers (something akin to universal storage)

I just remembered this thread, and also that the Vault-Tec addon is out. I think using that my old idea of Vault-Tec researching "bigger on the inside" technology could be even better.

Simple explanation: you would have some special item, which, when equipped, teleports you into a large-ish cubic area with a vault-tec workbench, where you can build stuff.

Advanced explanation: in the vault-tec office, in the CEO's desk, you find a cube, labelled something like "Vault -1" or "Vault-Tec Experimental Interdimensional Installation". When you use it, you get teleported inside. Inside it's a large cube with metallic walls, the workbench, some pre-installed vault parts, a broken generator, a few skeletons and the obligatory diary. The diary starts off with something like: "we are working here in this box." "Can't get out, did that idiot left us in his desk again?" "It has been 2 weeks now, what's going on there? Good thing we built the farm already, or we would have starved" "Oh crap the reactor just broke, now the oxygen recycler is offline and the plants don't get any light, either".

As a bonus, the cube could actually summon a door instead of just teleporting, Kagrenacs Instant Fortress-Style. Might be slightly more balanced, too, if you can only do it in exteriors.
