I've been having an issue with my mods for a long time now. I played Skyrim with around 130 mods on my older pc, but after getting a new one and setting things up just the way I did with my old one, it wouldn't work. I've tried everything I can think of. I tried NMM, I tried MO and I tried manually. When using MO and NMM I also made sure to have them in admin mode, I also start steam in admin mode and I even went as far as to change the permissions for some of my folders so that 'everyone' has full access over them. In the end, Skyrim does not care. It's also not an easy to fix issue where I actually get an error. No, Skyrim wants to make it difficult. Every time I start the Skyrim launcher it says that everything's fine. My mod is ticked and I should be ready to go, still it doesn't work(Yes, I did try to use SKSE to start too and it didn't work either). After thinking that 130 mods might be a bit too much I of course kept going down until the only mod I had left was the 'alternate start' mod, as that one is easy to download and to check if it's working. I gave up after many tries and have only recently tried again after re-installing Skyrim, MO, NMM and even steam itself. As I'v put a lot of time in trying to fix this, I thought I might try and finally get some help (as it seems most people with 'mods don't load' issues have rather easy fixes which don't work for me). Any help is welcome.

PS: There's another file that's a whole 18KB too big, but it pretty much shows that I tried loading with MO, that the launcher shows that 'alternate start' is ticked and in the end it of course didn't work.

I don't ubnderstand exactly what is your problem ? Among people who help here some like me don't use English as primary language (thanks google translator) and it's sometimes difficult to force people to explain with accuracy what is the problem.

  • Uninstall your unofficial obsolete patches and install USLEEP instead > v 3.0.4 now.
  • Your vanilla masters order should be Skyrim, update, dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn.

/// Useful informations :

/// Load order / mods conflicts :

/// Settings / memory :

  • Have you installed the skse patch >> memory blocks log.
  • Backup your ini files and delete the files. Skyrim.ini / SkyrimCustom.ini / SkyrimPrefs.ini found in C:\Users\Utilisateur\Documents\My Games\Skyrim then use your vanilla launcher to autodetect and use best settings for your computer.

/// Save game :

/// Meshes healer :

  • Read here, this is potentially a cause of CTD that you can resolve by following the mod procedure on this page.

/// Cleaning and correcting potential bugs :

  • Clean your master files to eliminate potential problems.: Gopher's videos cleaning your masterfiles on the Nexus Tesedit page.
    Start Tes5edit, simply untick everything, (right-click/select none) and add only a tick to the esm/esp you want to check + update.esm, Tesedit knows what to do and will load all the dependencies automatically.
    - Begin with loading only Skyrim + update, ITM / UDR + save ctrl +s and close.
    - Then load Skyrim + update + Dawnguard, ITM / UDR + ctrl +s and close.
    - Then load Skyrim + update + Hearthfire, ITM / UDR + ctrl +s and close.
    - Then load Skyrim + update + Dragonborn, ITM / UDR + ctrl +s and close.

My problem is that while everything seems fine, I can't get my mods to load. My mods are ticked and activated, the launcher says they're activated, everything is as it should be and I even started with a fresh install of steam as well. The save game fix is highly likely useless as I'm not trying to load a save, I'm starting a new game, which is also why I chose to try with the 'alternate start' mod as I stated in my first post. I have already had to clean my masters before, but I highly doubt that's the issue as even without cleaning, 1 measly mod shouldn't give any trouble (doesn't hurt to try I guess). I don't have a CTD problem so meshes healer will also be useless unless it also resolves other issues. I'm not sure about the SKSE patch, but again, I made it work on my other pc without the patch so I'm guessing it won't matter (again, I guess I can try). The ini file thing is yet again useless as I got rid of every trace of skyrim (I could find which means the conventional places to look) by uninstalling everything as I said in my first post. My load order is perfectly fine as it highly likely doesn't matter which official DLC loads before the other, but for argument's sake I'll try. The CTD troubleshooting page is useless as I don't have a CTD problem. I took a look at the dangerous mods list you mentioned and none of the mods I use are on it. Last but not least, I guess I'll try USLEEP and hope that fixes it (which I doubt, but I guess I can always hope).

Edit: I'm going to try yet another clean install

Edit 2: tried it and didn't work
