Skyrim Crashing for no reason?

So a while back I had installed over 70 mods for Skyrim and they ran fine and were all compatible. There had barely ever been a crash and they all ran smoothly together until recently. a couple days ago, whenever I fast traveled somewhere the game would immediately CTD.

The same would happen whenever I walked more than a few feet out of a city gate, cave, etc into the open world. Now I've deleted every single mod except for SkyUi and Live Another Life to see if that would help, and it still crashes whenever I attempt to fast travel or move around the open world.

Is there a way to fix this?

  • Make sure your specs can handle what you're asking.
  • Make sure you're using the good mods >> Dangerous mods list.
  • Make sure you're using the latest USLEEP > v 3.0.4 now.
  • Verify gamecache.
  • CTDs troubleshooting page on Reddit. depending on what's happening in game, choose the subsections that describe the best your problems. You seem to have more than one problem, so follow this guide in order to stabilize your game.
  • You may try to disable your mods by chunk of 20 and try to reproduce the crash in the same manner it happened.

Here is a list of important things that, if correctly done, will help stabilizing your game :

/// Load order / mods conflicts :

/// Cleaning and correcting potential bugs :

  • Clean your master files to eliminate potential problems : Gopher's videos cleaning your masterfiles on the Nexus Tesedit page.

    Start Tes5edit, simply untick everything, (right-click/select none) and add only a tick to the esm/esp you want to check + update.esm, Tesedit knows what to do and will load all the dependencies automatically.

    - Begin with loading only Skyrim + update, ITM / UDR + save ctrl +s and close.

    - Then load Skyrim + update + Dawnguard, ITM / UDR + ctrl +s and close.

    - Then load Skyrim + update + Hearthfire, ITM / UDR + ctrl +s and close.

    - Then load Skyrim + update + Dragonborn, ITM / UDR + ctrl +s and close.

  • The method above can be used to clean mods. LOOT should tell you which plugin you should clean.

/// Settings / memory :

  • Have you installed the skse patch ? >> memory blocks log.
  • Backup your ini files and delete the files. Skyrim.ini / SkyrimCustom.ini / SkyrimPrefs.ini found in C:\Users\Utilisateur\Documents\My Games\Skyrim then use your vanilla launcher to autodetect and use best settings for your computer.

/// Save game :

/// Meshes healer :

  • Read here, this is potentially a cause of CTD that you can resolve by following the mod procedure on this page.

Hope this helps.
