I uploaded this eyepatch http://www.skyrimnex...ons.php?id=1788, it's based on a circlet so it does have the same weight of 2, which realistically makes no sense of course.

Does anyone know which variable defines the weight in TESsnip?

So, I'm having the most retarded problem I've been able to find.

I'm trying to import a weapon, and the mesh already works nicely in-game and all. This is replacing any two handed sword mesh there is in the game.

But then, when I try to import it as a new weapon with an esp, when I equip the new weapon, BAM, crash to desktop. No error messages, no nothing, just a quick CTD.

Any ideas? This is annoying me to no end...

< just make new ones.

It's just a sort of stripped down clone of your weapon more or less, probably with a very small bit of a push modifier to avoid any mesh flicker.

You can view what they look like in nifskope to see what it is by changing it's flag from 15 to 14.

Oh. I didn't understand how it worked, but now I do, that's quite easy. Thanks.

I'm having a problem...

Lets use an Iron shield example:
original file name:
../iron/shield.dds
loaded shield.dds in photoshop.. made it pink for testing.. saved
new file name:
../iron/shield2.dds

I edit shield.nif in nifSkope
Changed the texture to shield2.dds
save the nif under ../meshes/armor/iron/shield2.nif

open TESSnip

Copied GRUP (ARMO)
deleted everything but ironshield
duplicated ironshield
changed mod2 to Armor\Iron\Shield2.nif
made a recipe to make in game
------------------

Load Game:

I can see the new iron shield and the old one fine in INVENTORY.

but when i equip the new iron shield it looks exactly like the old one

?? help please!!

@reptoon

Have you copied and modified the ARMA entry as well?

Hm.. no

No, not working :(
Should i be renaming the ARMA EDID to say... IronShieldAA03 and change its formID?

I changed its MOD2 to .../shield03.nif as well

EDID should be whatever you named the ARMO entry with the AA left at the end. Make sure insert mode is checked when you type it in, otherwise it wont work.

The formID must be a different from ARMO entry. MOD2 is okay.

That worked
But now the original Iron Shield took the new texture
Is this suppose to happen, or is it still possible to have one item with old texture and the other with new

I really appreciate you helping

You can have both by making the new item non-replacing, the first post of this thread explains how to do that.
