Fix empty container issue with Bloodmoon and MGSO 3.0

Hi,

I installed MGSO 3.0 over a fresh Morrowind installation and after some hours playing just ran into the problem with the empty chest in Tribunal (which should contain dwemer satchels). This was easy to fix with the console, but I read that there are also chests concerned in Bloodmoon, which I didn't start so far.

I'd like to fix this in advance, but for removing the MW_Containers_Animated mod I obviously need to cleanup the save games as well. According to some steam discussion on that issue (http://steamcommunity.com/app/22320/discussions/0/810924134010178732) there is a batch file contained in the newest version of the mod called 'clean_MWCA_savegame.bat'. Unfortunately I don't find this file.

Does anybody know another recipe to fix this (I don't want to spoil everything, and just disabling the .esp breaks all containers) or can tell me where I can find this batch file?

Thanks in advance,

Klaus

Hi, thanks for the quick answer!

Do you by chance know how? I tried exactly like it's written in the description of wrye mash (deselect mod in 'mods' tab, select save game in 'saves' tab, sync to master list, and save). But when I try to load that save game, I get a script loading reference error (some basket animation script as is looks like), and the containers don't work anymore like I would just have disabled the plugin. Probably I'm doing something wrong...

The empty locked chests in Solstheim seem to be caused by an old version of the "MW Containers Animated.esp" plugin.

There is already a fix for this. MGSO 3.0 is an old mod. Every utility has to be updated. Follow all the instructions linked here. basically you need to get the updated "MW Containers Animated.esp" mod but you need to follow the update instructions provided in question #4.

Do your self a favour and update the entire mgso. It is a lot of work but it is worth it. Once you finish updating never, ever, EVER use the options in mgso again. If you do then it will reinstall all the old utilities and you will have to update everything again.

Oh if you want to learn how to clean your saves in Mash then read these:

I basically did it like described with Wrye mash, but I was irritated by the loads of errors popping up while loading a save game. However, after saving and reloading it worked (e.g. the satchel packs now were in the chest in Tribuna, and I hope that Bloodmoon also will be fixed).

Concerning your recommendation: You mean I should not only fix #4 from the list, but all of them? I fear I'll spoil it a some place, and then I have probably a big mess... I'm already glad that this one thing worked out. Do you see a chance that at some point an updated version of mgso will be created? That would be very helpful.
