Third Person Camera Zoom

Is there a way to change the zoom out effect of the third person camera? Anytime I look down at something, like a corpse to pick up their items, the camera goes way back and I can't get the menu to show up that has the person/objects inventory. Any fixes to this? Is there a mod? I just want to camera distance to stay put and let me pick up things. I like playing in third person since I spend enough time worrying about what my character looks like.

Let me know if you have any suggestions!

Thanks!

Play around with the min and max vanity camera settings in your Fallout4Custom.ini file, with camera node animation set to zero, thus:

[Camera]
fVanityModeMinDist=
fVanityModeMaxDist=
bApplyCameraNodeAnimations=0

Can you explain what those three attributes in that file do exactly? That way I have a better idea to what I am playing with? What would be the minimum and maximum values that could be put in the first two?

I believe the max distance is how far the camera normally sits in 3p. The min is where it will zoom to when ads'ing.

I don't know if it was these lines, but I changed my min to match my max so there isn't any zooming in effect. I personally like it.

What did you change them to? I really wish there was a way to just mod this in the vanilla game.
