ArchPhaeton Posted September 3, 2016 Share Posted September 3, 2016 Sup everyone? Lately I have been making simple custom followers using , plus the few extra steps of making custom races for them. After a lot of trial and error I managed to get them working as I wanted, however there's 1 thing that I'm not getting right and that's a weird, very out-of-place eye glow/reflection that constantly appears on them depending on lighting conditions: http://i1260.photobucket.com/albums/ii568/ArchPhaeton/Games/eyeglow_zpswmivpv7j.png Thing is, that glow doesn't manifest anywhere else, not on npc's, not on my char nor any other downloaded followers. For eyes in particular, I do have TrueEyes, tried:- Copying an existing eye TextureSet and only renaming it and applying to the follower (No changes)- Changing the eye diffuse map (No changes)- Changing or removing the other eye maps: Normal/Gloss, EnvironmentMask, Environment (No changes)- Leaving only diffuse map (No changes), then unticking "has specular map" (No changes)- Disabling TrueEyes mod (No changes) To add to the mystery, it seems to appear only on their right eyes.I also have FaceLight on my char, but it doesn't cause eye glows in any other npc. In the whole province of Skyrim, only my 3 custom made followers have this issue. So I really doubt it would be hardware-related. Project579 Posted September 3, 2016 Share Posted September 3, 2016 It might not have anything to do with the eye bug but: AMB Glass Variants Lore.esp, Differently Ebony.esp and aMidianborn_Skyforge_Weapons.esp are outdated and should be replaced by amidianborn content addon. Anyway you tried your followers in vanilla right?Thanks for the heads up.I tried it in vanilla, got CTD'd in cell so i activated USLEEP and the 3 HDT mods 'coz follower uses bouncy body. UPDATE: Found the culprit: merging the RaceMenu exported head .nif with the CreationKit generated head .nif, using NifMerge:Top: CK GeneratedBottom: CK generated merged with RM generated. http://i1260.photobucket.com/albums/ii568/ArchPhaeton/Games/eyeglowsnif_zpsps0n9elu.png Replacing the CK tintmask with the RM tintmask had no negative effects.Guess I'll look for alternate ways of putting my custom face in-game, I havn't really tried any other methods. EDIT: Found some fixes for this in the nifmerge page. Me?
