Eliora Posted September 18, 2016 Share Posted September 18, 2016 Hey everyone. c: I'm relatively new to the community, but I've noticed a surprising lack of "kitsune" things on the nexus. I might just be bad at searching around (totally possible!), but I've so far only found three player mods that had a foxish race to the game: "The Kitsune"http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30330/? "Kitsune of Akavir"http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/73252/? "Playable Fox Race - Fennec"http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/62176/? Now... I could be wrong, but it seems the first one has been abandoned, the second one appears to be on an impromptu hiatus (their last update was in April, it seems their game had been having issues), and the last one is far more furry and more khajiit-like than what I've been trying to find. The next "best thing" seems to me picking whatever human race and just sticking a pair of ears/tails on them. But I really think this is an idea that could have a lot more expended on it; I think there is possibly a lot of untapped potential here...? I mean if anyone wanted to also make this happen and had the programming skills behind it (since I'm new to modding and honestly I have no idea where to even begin), I'd be more than willing to help in whatever way possible - I have college going on but I'd be 100% willing to help write and develop any quests or background lore if anyone would like me to. This isn't a request that is a request where I'm not willing to put some effort into helping make a reality, if that makes sense...? I don't really know how to word it, ahaha. :'D But for the actual race itself, ideally I'm looking for (if there are any mods that I've missed) something more human-like rather than fox/animal-like. GoldDawn13 Posted June 21, 2021 Share Posted June 21, 2021 neither "the kitsune" or "kitsune of akavir" offer color options which is a must. in "the kitsune" tails are rigid and all clumped together in a way that is not appealing. the mod writer also clearly copied and pasted the tails from the khajiit. CAT TAILS ARE NOT THE SAME AS FOX TAILS! sorry had to get that out of my system. "kitsune of akavir" I think used the tail model from some other mod, I'm not sure. but the tails had a shine to them and the way that the moved because of the physics made them look like tentacles with a fur pattern painted onto them. that is not the sort of anime look i was looking for. then I saw a kitsune race mod in a video and i was like "Amazing! this is what I was looking for!" and they didn't even give the link to the mod... smh.anyways. yeah if anyone wants to help make this count me in to. or heck if anyone wants to come in and point us towards a FREE and actually HELPFUL resource to learn how to mod that would be great to.
