kiwifruit2000
Hi, Hoping for some help on my CTD problem if you would. :) The Setup: I have been modding Skyrim with NMM and have these following mods: Skyrim.esmUpdate.esmUnofficial Skyrim Patch.espNatural Lighting and Atmospherics.espSkyUI.espRUSTIC SOULGEMS - Unsorted.espGamEngagementrings.espAMB Glass Variants Lore.espDifferently Ebony.espSkyrim HD Tribute - Roads.espaMidianborn_Skyforge_Weapons.espJKs Skyrim.espRealisticWaterTwo.espSMIM-Merged-NoDragonborn.espWatercolor_for_ENB_RWT.espSkyrim Flora Overhaul.espVerdant - A Skyrim Grass Plugin.espKK_Lola_companion_wolfdog.espSkySight-Simply-Bigger-Trees-Slower-Branches.espDrinking Fountains of Skyrim.espRAIN.espESO Nord Armor by NewerMind43.esp I am also using ProjectENBs ENBSeries 0.262 (not sure if it is the newest version). Also, I have some retextures that rely on SMIM.I followed this vid : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M47Fq38anUMI have been using LOOT for mod load order.I am on WIN10I am using a GTX 1070 8GBVRAM and an i76700k and 16GB RAM (so pretty sure thats not the problem) - i also get a solid 60 fps The Problem: On the road to Riverrun, after the first mission with the dragon and all, I come across two wolves. This causes me a CTD at the exact same point everytime, although after removing SMIM it was much sooner. It is now at the point where it CTDs when I have no mods on :( Could do with some help to play this awesome-looking game. Thankyou, kiwifruit2000 :)
Project579
so i know of a CTD cause by fLightLODMaxStartFade=3500.0 while using SMIM setting it lower solves the problem for me anyway: Download and install SKSE if you don't have it already; Remember to run the game trough skse_loader.exe from now on. Createa a file called skse.ini in Skyrim\Data\SKSE\ if you don't have it already, write inside: [General]ClearInvalidRegistrations=1EnableDiagnostics=1 ;<----you can leave this to 0 [Display]iTintTextureResolution=2048 [Debug]WriteMinidumps=1 ;<----you can leave this to 0 After that download and install Crash Fixes: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/72725/? Download and install Bug Fixes as well: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/76747/? After having installed it navigate to Skyrim\Data\SKSE\Pugins\CrashFixPlugin.ini Modify in CrashFixPlugin.ini UseOSAllocators=1 follow the instructions above this line to make it work. You will need to download and install SKSE Plugin Preloader Link: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/75795/? ENB can be used without graphics modification and will improve your performance in game by a lot:First download the latest ENB ( http://enbdev.com/mo...kyrim_v0308.htm ) in the archive, extract from the wrapper version: enbhost.exe, d3d9.dll, enblocal.ini and enbseries.ini to your Skyrim directory (where TESV.exe is located) In enblocal.ini edit: [GLOBAL]UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics=false ;<-----set this to true leave to false if you have an ENB.UseDefferedRendering=trueIgnoreCreationKit=trueForceFakeVideocard=false [MEMORY]ExpandSystemMemoryX64=falseReduceSystemMemoryUsage=trueDisableDriverMemoryManager=false ;<---------set to true for AMD GPUs.DisablePreloadToVRAM=falseEnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=falseReservedMemorySizeMb=64 ;<-----if using an ENB you know what goes here otherwise increase if you experience some stutter.VideoMemorySizeMb=4064 ;<-----if using an ENB you know what goes here otherwise leave it like that.AutodetectVideoMemorySize=false ;<-----set this to true leave to false if using an ENB Edited September 23, 2016 by Project579
