We only support the latest version of SSE, which was 1.6.629 at the time of USSEP's current release. The current version on Steam is 1.6.640, which only has some updates to the executable over 629, and no updates to assets or modules. Update to the latest version of the game.

Delete the executeable file for the game, then revalidate your files. This is a common symptom of using those dodgy downgraders on your game. They interfere with the normal operation of the Steam client (and probably Galaxy too).

Ok, I assume there would be no problem then, LOOT is just always looking for the most current version...lol, I just like to see my load order nice and pretty with no errors. Thanks I would Endorse but I already did that like 10 years ago :-)

Mmh this is probably going to be a stupid question, but I was wondering: could the Anniversary Edition work without the base CC contents that you get for free, like Fishing, Saints and Seducers and so on? I mean, if I remove those files from my game folder, will it still work?

Those are part of the base game, like Dawnguard or Hearthfire.  Why would you want to do that?

I was just curious, since I don't particularly like any of the new content I was wondering if I could keep the game "up to date" without anything CC related. Not the end of the world, tho :)

SSEdit is telling me that  " -error:Required module "Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch.esp" is present, but will be ignored as it does'nt match any of the specified CRC32s" Just curious what that means I have never seen it before. Latest Gog version, every thing is up to date.
