Save game script cleaner

I'm not even sure what has broken my save, but it's happened on two separate playthroughs now, happens whenever I go in a building and then try and leave again. Doesn't matter which building in any town.

I look forward to seeing any kind of save cleaner in the near future.

Would be nice to have such a tool for SSE since it seems even after reinstalling the game from scratch OBIS SE still persists. So as is I'm not sure what to do cause I'd rather not be forced back to regular Skyrim due to one mod screwing me over so badly.

Yea I need it as well, Campfire broke my save. Gaming is on hold till I can fix it.

Was happend to me too. Campfire realy causes a lot of probs. I deleted the mod, I cleaned all files manualy from the data folder what was left and I deleted my script folder. Then I purged all loose files as well from NMM, just in case. Then compare your files from Steam and try again

Oh what a shock, been working for an hour and now finally find this. Guess what, campfire broke my save too, for a second time. I'm just going to uninstall this and start a new game like I should have the last time!

Misquoted someone.. but I read in this thread, that save game bloat is impossible now or something to that effect:

Improper use of functions like PlaceAtMe, PlaceActorAtMe, poor Updating handling(when used with RegisterForUpdate - anyone using this better be using UnRegisterForUpdate to shut it down when not needed), can still wreck a save. It's simply rarer in Skyrim, compared to Oblivion, because the cleanup system is more efficient in other areas that Oblivion suffered with.

From my standpoint, this save tool is seen as recommended and safe, which speaks volumes in my opinion. Even the one heading the Unofficial patch OK's it.

From a technical standpoint, it is also a breakthrough and a huge step in figuring out the ESS file format that had been elusive since Morrowind.

Markdf is working on porting his Skyrim Tools to SSE. This is IMO the best save cleaner for Skyrim. The main issue facing this type of tool is that SSE saves are compressed with a variant of LZ77 and nobody has quite figured out how to access them yet. Once someone comes up with a routine to decompress them, tools like this, and the savegame features in Wrye Bash, etc, will be much easier to port over.

Looks like he finished it.

Can confirm that it works very well, fixed my Wet and (forgot name of mod) problem. Which is that it corrupts savegames after you disable it. This is able to fix it.
