Thanks for this, this may make my life much easier. However, I've got an odd issue while using it to adapt some clothing meshes, and I don't know if it's a problem with this utility or NifSkope.

Basically, post-conversion, NifSkope is rendering some portions of the mesh *on top of* things that should be occluding them. What is the best way of getting to you a before and after mesh for you to examine?

Post-edit: Looks like jonusl2d is seeing the same thing.

Spoiler

That sounds like the skin partitions. You could also try converting them with the new version of Outfit Studio that I just released.

You can send them via Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, etc. :)

I've created a batch file to run the converter recursively, but in this case I am prompted to enter confirmatory 'Y' for every file. Is there a flag I can pass to the exe to override the confirmation step? I imagine there must because this doesn't happen when dragging and dropping files.

Spoiler

It doesn't? I was getting the confirmation prompt when dragging and dropping. Curious.

But yes, more support for batch-mode usage would be great - the ability to suppress the confirmation prompt and also the ability to walk a directory structure would be nice.

Spoiler

It does, but only once for many files when they are dragged. Running my batch loop I must confirm for every file.

Here is my batch code so far:

for /R %%f in (*.nif) do (
"E:\ModApps\sse_nif_opt.exe" "%%f"
)

Spoiler

I added the confirmation so that nobody accidentally overwrites his original NIF files. I'll add a batch file and a parameter to turn off all confirmations, but the other issue has priority at the moment.

Spoiler

I don't know if it works in this specific case, but the usual solution in batch files to respond to confirmation dialogs is to pipe "echo y" into the call. So like:

for /R %%f in (*.nif) do (
echo y | "E:\ModApps\sse_nif_opt.exe" "%%f"
)
