Replacing the Plasma Gun's Visual Ammunition

I wanted to make a mod that changes the ammo of all plasma weapons to fusion cells instead of plasma cartridges but just it physically using fusion cells didn't satisfy me, so I tried to change the visual plasma cartridge in the gun to look like a fusion cell by replacing the meshes for the plasma cartridge with the ones for the fusion cell, it almost worked, but the fusion cell seems to not be in the right position, especially with anything other than the standard stock, (see screenshots below) And when I reload, the character doesn't grab the fusion cell and put in a new one. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I want*to say to verify (and mirror with the fusion cell) the z position in the plasma cartridge ammo's nif in NifSkope.

Yes, I *want* to say that, but honestly this is a little outside my field...but thought I'd throw it out there...we'll call it a "shot in the dark". =)

I did try editing the mesh to be in the same position as the plasma cartridge but I did it by guessing instead of copy/pasting the numbers, I never thought of that, I'll try it (:

Nifskope doesn't have different coordinites for each nif, both say 0 for all axis and are just there to edit

What are the two nifs named again?

Edit: Or maybe you have an esp I could take a look at.

I have an idea in my head, I'm just not having any luck articulating it or the terminology.

Sort of like this:

I shouldn't have said coordinates earlier, I was thinking more of position in relation to reference grid (which does not necessarily mean the coordinates would differ from 0 across the board, as the little dot might well *be* at 0).

Or that, you could just redo the coordinates to move it up enough to make locational sense.

Edit 2: If you do let me take a look, I just have to remember that sometimes there are 2 nifs associated with items, one for the ammo (as an example) that goes into the gun (still as an example) and the one that shows in the inventory...sometimes. =P Made that mistake before, heh.

No advice here but are you planning on flipping the MF cell around too? Because its current position makes it look like the cell isn't actually connected to anything (the electrical contact is facing the player rather than the muzzle)

All I did was replace PlasmaCell.nif, PlasmaCell_1.nif, and PlasmaCellMagazine.nif with 3 renamed copies of FusionCell.nif and as far as moving the fusion cell in the nif file to the corresponding position the plasma cartridge is in on the old nif files I tried that but it made it look even worse, I've also noticed that for some reason even though they all look the same, changing capacitor changes the position of the fusion cell on the ingame weapon, on maximized its almost in the correct position like in the top screenshot but on overcharged capacitor it's in the stock like the bottom screenshot
