Skyrim Unbound with Skyrim SE

I was successful at installing the latest version of Skyrim Unbound to Skyrim SE.

I downloaded (manual) the latest version of Skyrim Unbound (Skyrim Unbound-71465-5-15.zip) and unpacked it with 7z:

Data

- scripts

- sound

- Skyrim Unbound.bsa

- Skyrim Unbound.esp

I extracted the BSA file into loose files (I still use "BSA extractor for TES 3,4,5 by Cynic v1.2"), which gave me a new folder with a couple directories:

Skyrim Unbound_bsa

- scripts

- sound

I took both those directories and moved them over to the Data directory I got from the first step, allowing anything that already existed to be overwritten.

Then I deleted the BSA file. So I was left with:

Data

- scripts

- sound

- Skyrim Unbound.esp

I archived the entire Data directory with 7z, and gave it a slightly different name (Skyrim Unbound-71465-5-15_SSE_Patched.7z).

Fired up Nexus Mod Manager and dragged that new file over and then installed it - then used LOOT to load sort.

Launched Skyrim SE and started a new game, and wham! - Skyrim Unbound "auto started", prompting me for my options via pop-up menus (think back to the day of before SKSE, SkyUI and the MCM menus). I feel as if I wasn't getting as many options as I remember being able to configure via the MCM in regular Skyrim, but it's totally not a deal breaker.

I was able to pick "No Dragons", "Not Dragonborn" - along with the other options, such as starting point (went with Wilderness), starting armor, weapon, magic, etc. Upon finishing through the Skyrim Unbound popups, the character-creation window came up.

Once I was done with character-creation and named my character, the game tossed me into the world of Skyrim and I was off adventuring! No Dragons or Dragonborn storyline to worry about!

I've been playing since pretty much the day-after SSE released with this setup and my character is level 17 now. Haven't had any problems.

I've run into multiple word-walls so far, and nothing has happened - no epic music, no word learning, no nothing... Just an interesting looking wall, nothing more. So hooray!! for no Main Quest,

I've run into a couple conversations where they've mentioned dragons. And once, while walking by a Whiterun guard he referred to me as Dragonborn ("Dragonborn, it's an honor!" - something like that). But I wouldn't doubt it's a side-effect of one of the other many mods I have installed, as I'm running with about 92 mods atm.

Again though - not a deal breaker, nor a real immersion-breaker... I can just assume my character is looking at the person who just called her Dragonborn with a raised eyebrow and thinking (What the heck is a Dragonborn?)
