Hair REPLACER for females.

Hello, i've been looking for a mod for a long time, but with no luck. I can't believe noone has ever done one tbh.

I want it to replace the vanilla AWFULL hair, i swear the only one that i like is the Wendy The Welder one. It does not have to be a complete new hair mesh, it can use Nouks and Apachiis hairstyles.

Yes, i know about Wasters Overhaul, but i use TTW, and want the DC npc's to be diffrent too.

PS: If noone want's to do one themself, just tell me how to do it.

Not really clear what you want. You have found some hair replacers (i.e. Nouks and Apachiis hairstyles; there is also Beauty Pack PLUS -Project Mikoto- Hair - Eyes - Presets and 6 pages of entries on Nexus under "Hair and Face Models" category) so the "I can't believe noone has ever done one tbh" is apparently exaggerated hyperbole. It seems you are saying there aren't any for TTW? Use the ones for FNV. Plus there are a ton for FO3 which can be converted. See this article specifically on converting FO3 to TTW.

Or are you complaining that none of the available styles suit your taste?

This mod will patch the game to use custom hair (and eyes) for you.

There is a reason why i wrote "REPLACER" using caps, i dont want it to add new hair, i want it to replace all the vanilla haircuts

You posted you want to REPLACE the vanilla hairstyles without adding any hairstyles. How do you intend to do this?

What you are asking is impossible. You have to add hairstyles in order to replace any.

Try a google search for Ling's Coiffure NV. But it might not suit you since you have to add new hairstyles.

I will assume you want to replace the original data kept with in the BSA archives? there is only 1 single way you can do this and succeed. Use Mod organizer version designed to work with the fallout games.

extract all mesh files and texture files to a mod envelope with in MO's mod folder you must make your self. Move the bsa archive out of the games data directory and re-create a blank empty bsa archive with the same name to replace what you removed. Mo will read the empty bsa's as if they are the real deal, and so will the game, as long as the mod packages kept in MO you made are Enabled ,NOW you can replace factory data with what ever you wish and not add on extra materials.

I know this can be done becasue I have doe it my self, and I have posted screen shots here some where long ago showing it.

If your good enough ? you can replace ever scrap of material published by the publisher with your own data and say good by to garbage materials.

What's not possible is uploading this data because every one would need to be masters at the art to accomplish even a smidgen of its quality's.

No one here wants to go thru all of that work, it's a lot of work.

But small things like hair for personal use, you have your answer.

I have menaged to make the mod a diffrent way, but thank you all for trying to help me anyways. I would upload it on nexus but it's a very dirty edit, and im not sure what you would have to do to make it work on your machine.

If you describe here what you have done? we can assure you if it is viable.

step by step.

I'll do it per first step, second step and so on

1. Went ingame, writed down names of all vanilla haircuts

2. Still ingame, writed down names of which Ling's Coiffure haircut was to replace the vanilla ones

3. Went to GECK, opened the fonv main esp and the Ling's Coiffure esps

4. Checked every texture and mesh file that i want to replace and put it all in a neat table in excel (ill upload images tommorow)

5. Extracted the Ling's Coiffure bsa via FOMM, then took texture/character/hair and mesh/character/hair into the Data folder (otherwise GECK couldnt see the files from Ling's mod)

6. Went to character -> hair in geck and started to replace the vanilla textures and meshes with the ones i wrote down in the excel table.

Saved as an esp, activated and voila, no more ugly hair in both Mohave and Capitol wasteland

It might be not understandable or feel very complicated, but it should be clear after i upload the images, also im gonna make an diffrent thread just for the tutorial so more ppl can see it.

as long as he / or she/ has fun and does not distribute other mod authors assets, , Fun is the result it's ok for personal use,.

Pictures of an accomplishment should not break any rules i am aware of. DO not upload Earaches data files.
