ENB wrapper files v0.279 causing Skyrim to crash (Win10)

Heya folks!

 

I'm having some trouble getting the wrapper version of Enb series v0.279 to work with my skyrim.

Every time i try to load a game it crashes instantly.

 

I tried to install Direct X End-User Runtimes but it either didn't work or I didn't install it right (don't know if i did anything wrong during installation process)

I know my game works because renaming or removing the d3d9.dll files from the enbseries folder fixes the problem but i need that for the enb to work (don't I?)

Or is this simply a windows 10 problem? No idea.

 

I'm completely stuck and any advice or help would be very much appreciated.

 

System Specs (for reference)

GTX 1050ti

i5 2320 (3.0ghz)

8gb RAM

Running Windows 10 Pro, 64bit

First of all, ENB is not designed for use with Win 8 or above. However, it is possible to use ENB on Win 10.

 

Have a look at the very first post of this thread:

The solution explained there worked for me.

 

If this doesn't help, try one of the more recent builds of ENB - 0.307 or 0.308.

First of all, ENB is not designed for use with Win 8 or above. However, it is possible to use ENB on Win 10.

I've seen this thread and did exactly what this guy said. I download the files, ran the DXSETUP.exe and restarted my computer.

After that i tried to load SKSE again and as soon as I load a save it CTD.

 

The reason why i want to use v0.279 is to install the Realvision ENB but before I do that i need to install this.

I still think i'm doing something wrong, when you download the file did you get a load of winwar files as well? Do I need to do anything else because I am extremely confused as to why this is working for everyone else but not me.

 

I haven't tried the injector version because i would prefer the wrapper so anymore advice would be a of great help.

Update:

 

I give up to be honest.

I've tried installing the injector version of Endseries v0.279 with Realvision and nothing happens, the game loads but doesn't look different

I've tried installing the DirectX SDK exe file and my game still crashes, done this install twice now so no idea what to do. Doesn't seem to be installing correctly.

 

I've got no other options to be honest since i need v0.279 for this tor work.

 

If anyone has any advice for me please tell me.

Another Update:

 

Finally got the injector work, not great but better than nothing.

Wrapper version still not working, anyone still has tips send them my way.

I have used windows 10 since its early release and ENB has always worked for me.

 

As far as the directX goes you just run the setup file contained in the folder and let it do its thing. Make sure you have your windows 10 specific drivers installed and your ENB.local is configured correctly and everything should work fine.

 

Now i have heard if people installing the wrong version of DX which could explain some peoples issues.

Also the latest ENB binaries should work fine with real vision. Ill also say that while real vision is a decent ENB its not the best on nexus regardless of what its popularity might say. LOTS of really good options out there.

I installed the latest version of Enb (v0,308) and the wrapper version seems to work fine with my enb.

As for version v0.279 it still won't work even with Direct X runtime June 2010 installed, i run the setup and nothing seems to happen.

It doesn't matter now since the latest one works.

 

Sorry for the hassle, its my first time installing an Enb properly and I just needed some help.

Ill make sure to check out other Enb's as well.

My Skyrim stopped working in the last month or so. I have windows 10 and it worked fine (4 gig limit) but no issues for months.

 

When I start the game SKSE starts then - I hear a crash alert then nothing. I reinstalled the game and it ran fine in vanilla then the issue started again when I installed ENB.

 

Again, it worked fine for many months on Windows 10 but it will not work anymore. Here is what I've tried...

 

• Older version of ENB (before .308)
• Rolled back the nvidia driver - I have a Titan X
• Installed the DX10 June files
• Turned off all background apps - no afterbunner or antivirus.

Any ideas are appreciated! It's driving me crazy!
