Garrus Vakarian Boone Reskin

Two of my favorite games are Fallout and Mass Effect so naturally I would want find any way to combine the two. One of my favorite characters from the Mass Effect series is Garrus and I did some research to see if I could find any mod that would place him into the New Vegas universe. I did find evidence that there was once a few mods that did this but where taken down from the nexus due to asset usage.

I'm looking for someone that would to be able to reskin Boone to make him look like Garrus (essentially what the mods did before they were removed from the nexus) and if possible, also with face rigging. I do own all three of the Mass Effect games so if something is needed directly from them I would be happy to help. I understand that modding can be difficult and I have great respect for those who go out of the way to help people on this forum. So for whom ever is able to help me I would like to show my thanks by giving them a donation.

The reason they were removed was due to those asset usages.

The use of actual Mass Effect content is a copyright violation, since EA/Bioware doesn't allow people to use their content in that manner.

Any model work would have to be made from scratch as would any voice work and special animations.

I'm a little new to the modding scene so sorry if I'm a little slow. I thought it broke copyright because it was on the main Nexus site which meant that they were making ad review through the usage of the assets. If the mod was done privately and not made for public distribution would that be ok? So if that would not be possible would it be possible if both parties owned the games? For instance what TTW does and how the only way you can properly install the mod would be if you owned Fallout 3 and New Vegas but instead it would be Fallout New Vegas and Mass Effect 3.

Thank you for your time Dante :)

TTW isn't exactly the best example for comparison, Bethesda aren't exactly happy about its existence either, but so far they've not been motivated enough to act on it.

Since no one could legally send you the files to make the mod you are wanting if they used the existing copyright official materials, you would have to learn to do the mod work yourself, and kept the mod on your system, no sharing.

Someone making everything from the ground up have no issue sharing, as long as it was obvious they had indeed made the content, not just modified the official content.

Alright so I should change the OP to ask for someone's assistance in making a mod from scratch or teaching me how to make the mod myself with the assets, correct?

Pretty much, but either way, it's a pretty tall order. I agree it'd be cool if it could be done, but if it's any consolation, I'm working on 2 big spaced themed mods, one of which is pretty heavily inspired by mass effect (as well as a few other sci fi IP's) but there won't be direct similarities like specific alien races, organizations, vehicles, weapons, characters, or story taken directly from it.

That sounds pretty sweet! Sadly I'm not that experienced with modding and from what I can tell people have already made a Garrus mod but it's almost impossible to get in contact with them. I had found a file for a Tali companion mod but nothing for Garrus :\

I look forward to seeing your mod when it is complete. Thanks for the response Matt!
