Having the same issue, how do you turn off ambient occlusion?

 

For the game's SSAO:

 

Open your Skyrimprefs.ini (usually found in documents/my games/Skyrim SE), go to the "display" section and change (or put in) this line:

bSAOEnable=0

 

If you're not comfortable with editing .ini files, you could also use BethINI. It has a checkbox to enable/disable SSAO somewhere.

 

If you're using ENB, you might wnat to turn of SSAO in game in the ENB settings as well. To open ENB configuration, press shift + enter (default setting - yours may be different). Search for SSAO, disable it, save configuration. Dependent on which efffects an ENB presets uses, you may search for this setting a bit. it's not always in the same place/menu.

 

To be clear: If you want no S(S)AO at all, you need to disable in both in Skyrimprefs.ini AND in ENB..
